Hi! I am VERY new to this forum and airstreams in general. I recently purchased a 26'
1968 Airstream Overland. I got a very good deal on the trailer and it is in great shape. I plan to use the trailer a mobile salon (think of it as a food truck but for nails) that will go to various office parks in the SF bay area. I need to be able to connect and disconnect the trailer from the airstream on a daily basis. Are there any recommendations for a tow vehicle that is ideal for towing the AS through high traffic areas? The weight is listed at ~4200 lbs right now though I do plan to gut the interior which will effect the weight to some degree.
Also, I have read a lot about propride hitches. Are these a good idea for my situation given the need to connect and disconnect the trailer to/from the tow vehicle on a regular basis? I am not sure how much sway I will encounter in this area but if they are safer, I am willing to figure out how to use one (and dish out the extra cash for it). Thank you for your help! I have about a million questions as I try to navigate through this process!
