Hello all,
I posted questions a while back about my 1954 Elcar. Well I am still trying to get it towed to my property! I finally decided to replace tires and wheels and thought I was ready to go. Now I found out the brakes may or may not be roadworthy. Anyone know what I in for? Do I need special brake work?

In general you can replace the backing plate assemblies and reuse the existing hubs and drums. They're around $100 per wheel depending on size and where you buy them.
