'04-'03 Ext. Diff.

Our '04 Safari-25 does not have a trim strip around the 'waist' of the outside but, the '03 one we saw did. Is that just ours or an A/S change?

Same with our '04 25 Safari. I believe AS made a change along with the retro looking exterior lights.

It was a change made for the '04 model line, however, it did not seem to be carried over to the Classics.

If you look at www.silvertwinkie.org you'll see the Bambis, Safaris and CCDs missing the center trim, yet the Classic LTDs that are being built still have the center trim.

Hope this helps.

Those were some of the same differences we noticed, but wasn't sure since we only saw one '04 Safri. We had a chance to get a 'new' '03 S-25, but the all carpet int. & the ext. lights swung the decision to the '04. I LIKE those 'bullet' lights, how trivial!! Besides, Debbie liked the int. color scheme better (Stratus). I also like the rear bumper on the Safari.

Yep! 2-5/16", at least that's what is on our '04 Safari 25.

All Airstreams have been 2 5/16" for a number of years, even the Bambi.
