No Placard?

Gardner,
I have a 1978 Excella 500. As you face the front of the trailer, on the right side of the hitch A frame there is a square aluminum placard that gives the year, GVW and Axle weights.

I have attached a picture of mine.

The scales I weighed my Excella on were for a company that recycles metal. They weigh trucks coming in and going out to determine weight of the metal. I asked them and they said they have people come out to check the scales from time to time.

I weighed the Excella on scales at a local metal recycling yard. They told me that they had someone come out to check the scales from time to time so I do not know if that means certified or not.
