Jack of all trades...master of none.

I have actually worked in furniture/cabinet shops and have a good basic skill set. The only two pieces of furniture I ever made ended up with my ex. They were both made using only hand tools, no power. Most of my tools are currently in storage waiting until I can get a new shop built with some work space in it. I own lots of rough sawn lumber as well as lots of plans.

I enjoy woodworking, metal working and mechanics.

I'm no master woodworker, that's for sure. But I enjoy having a useful hobby. Back when woodcraft decorations were in vogue, I had a little business with my sister & sister-in-law that we called "Country Woods". We had a lot of fun together & made a little mad money while we were at it. I just finished making the support columns in our basement useful instead of annoying. I made the large coffee table with 4 hassocks with storage to the right as well. Next project....new flooring in the Avion---that's what I call fun!

Long time woodworker. But right now my shop is in the snow and I am in Florida playing really bad golf. Back to woodworing in April. Right now I am devoted to trying to slow down the leaks in an old Airstream. Not as easy as woodworking.

Oh, how I wish we had a shop! I love seeing this amazing work. My husband Rob rebuilt the cabinets in our 86 this week to give me a dishwasher. He is a jack of all trades. I have posted lots of his cabinetry and bunk beds before. Here is what he just did in the 86.

Nice!

That just solved a dilema for a friend of mine.

Sandlapper AKA Leake's Antiques

I don't think John will mind and he might not want to talk proud, he's a simple kinda folk in a great way. I got a chance to get a sneak peak at his family business in York SC and I think some alien from the planet Walnut taught John and Family about proper wood useage.

Take a minute and tour his skills.

Woodworking has been a hobby of mine since high school. When everyone else was making bird houses, I made a coffee table.
I made all the cabinets for my Argosy 28 (pictures here on the forums).
One of my latest projects was the bed I made for my daughter and son-in-law as a wedding gift.

Not really into paddling or fishing, just enjoy the heck out of building these, esp the kayak, a kit from Chesapeake Light Craft known as the Wood Duck 12.
Won't be the last CLC I build...the results are stunning if you take your time in the finishing.

Spent the better part of last fall building "The Rocket Shop".

This shop is used to construct everything from the smallest models to large displays and cabinets.
