You don't want to have to clean deer poop from the sheets. I love the "Changes in Latitude" name but somehow. FRANK THE TANK is starting to fit...

Susan picked up Tourist guide/pamphlet over the weekend that has ideas for RV camping in Georgia (Ironically at the Welcome Center in Warm Springs, we were just up the road form y'all). In this pamphlet there is a mention of Georgia Power camp grounds all over the state. I didn't know they operated camp grounds, but is says that "most have full hook-ups". I'll see if can find something on the web site.

Yep, check this link off the Southern Company web page: http://www.southernco.com/gapower/la...sub&mnuItem=oc

Kewl! I'll have to check some of them out. I didn't think about them. I knew about the one on Lake Sinclair since my parents used to have a lake house on Sinclair.

So far the damage has come from the trip home from the dealer and from a camping trip just 68 miles from home. Over the 4th we are going to Disney World to check out Ft. Wilderness and that is 400 miles away! I told my insurance agent I may be calling him again on July 5th! With the damage on two such mundane trips, I can only image what lies ahead on an 800 mile round trip.

I must keep a good humor about all of this because if "{I} couldn't laugh, {I}would ... go insane".

Bless your hearts! I just got back from vacation and saw this. All trips can't go like this one! Hang in there!

Well, the week end before the 4th my wife was working in the trailer getting ready for the upcoming trip to FL and had the awning out. On Sunday we got 3" of rain in about an hour and the rain collected on the awning faster than it could run off the lower end and the rear awning pole bent to a 90 degree angle. I ordered a new one on that Monday from Zip-Dee with two day delivery and it arrived on Friday. I replaced it in about 10 minutes. If it hadn't come in I don't know what we would have done because we wouldn't have been able to secure the awning for transit.

So we went to Ft. Wilderness and towed a total of more than 900 miles round trip plus about 95 miles without the "Changes" behind us. I am really getting the hang of towing. In fact, Kathy and Brent you know how tight it is getting into the camp sites at FW, we got home at 11:00 Tuesday night and I backed into our drive way and got the trailer within 6" of where we normally park it...in the dark! We had a marvelous time and are looking forward to our next trip to Ft. Wilderness in October.

My wife, along with Brent's, said that things come in threes, so hopefully we are done with troubles with camping. This week end we make the, hopefully only, eleven hour trip to Jackson Center for repairs to the side and corner. Wish us luck, again!

It COULD have been worse. When I went on the factory tour there was a 31 foot Classic special edition there for repairs. A large deer had run in front of the tow vehicle which smacked it dead on center, then the deer bounced up on the hood of the pickup, broke the window, went up over the roof and THROUGH the front & wrap around windows, landing on the leather sofa and splattering innards and stuff widely. I'm betting repairs started with "cut off all the front segments, then get a hose....".

I know it could have. And thank God it wasn't. But it always seems like it couldn't have been at the time when it happens to you. I was beginning to think God was trying to tell us something. I told my wife that it was beginning to look like it would be cheeper to just dry camp in the drive way from then on.

Fortunately things went well on our next outing and I really got my confidence up on towing and backing (got plenty of practice on that trying to get into the tight spaces at Ft. Wilderness) and by the time I got home at 11:00 at night I wasn't even uncomfortable towing in the dark, of course the headlights helped .

Not streaming, unfortunately. With the pet sitting business, I was busy taking care of other people's animals while they went somewhere! I did get to spend lots of time on the lake with friends that were camping. I just couldn't stay all the time! I have one weekend set aside the end of July for camping, then I'll have to wait until September or October. Just can't decide where I want to go. I'm thinking up around the Hiwassee River so we can take advantage of the river activities. May go back to McKinney in Cartersville. That's close and always a lot of fun!

Be careful getting to Jackson Center! Now that your three's are done with, hopefully it will be smooth streamin'!!!!

MM,
Curious how long it will take Jackson Center to do your repairs? Do you have to leave the Streamer and pick her back up in a couple of weeks?

We are going to leave her for repairs and the only three warranty items we have, thus far. Pretty standard stuff, tank monitor needs calibrating, reflector fell off in drive way (stuck on with double sided tape), and shower door leaks. We will go back the following week end and pick her up on 7/24 and drive back to Atlanta or I will go back the week end after that to pick her up on 7/31 by myself. My wife is a teacher and our schools start back early here so I'll have to go solo if the AS isn't ready in a week. Mapquest says 8-1/2 hour drive but we'll see. I think JC is one to 1-1/2 hours north of Cincinatti. We plan to spend Saturday night in Kentucky at a KOA.
