I started this thread seven years ago and am happy to report that I continue to successfully use the 1000# bars along with the original
Equal-i-zer 4-Point Sway Control Trailer Hitch that was installed by
Southwest Coaches where I originally placed my factory order for a 2007 Safari with 2 solar panels and the awning package.
I am happy to report that the front end is not torn up.
In fairness, I believe part of my success is that I chose the 2-wheel drive F-250 SuperDuty diesel and not the 4-wheel drive, which I understand has a stiffer suspension.
Over the years I have continued to use white lithium grease in the usual places. To keep the messy grease under control, I store the bars in custom made tubes, and I clean up with Gojo Orange Hand Cleaner.
