I didn't see anyone else sharing my profession either. I'm a nurse anesthetist, you know, the one with the big hammer? Also affectionately known as "gas passers". But if you need surgery, I'll be your guardian angel and your best friend!

Another geek

I'm a software developer. A combination of self-employed and contract work. Before that I was a professional audio guy building studios for people who thought they could make money at that game.
I've been on my own (professionally that is) for about 14 years and if I can keep it going another 14 the kids will be finished college.

Then Bambi will really get a workout. At my current rate I might be almost finished polishing by then.

Hmm, am I the only midwife here? I've been providing women's & infants' health care and helping babies into the world for 21 years. (Being on call 24/7 and losing untold nights of sleep hasn't been good for MY health, though.)

I'm currently working fulltime on getting our Airstream "rebirthed," and getting things ready so we can lease our house out for a year. My husband's project management job is taking us to the Big Bend area for awhile,we'll be "full-timing" but mostly stationary. (Husband is an architect and contractor, but the Airstream is all my deal.) Looking forward to our little adventure, and to the discipline of living in such a small space.

Well, lets see... my wife and I are both pharmacists. We met in school, as you can probably guess. I'm the Director of Pharmacy at a 176-bed hospital, and the wife is a Clinical Pharmacist at a big 900-bed county hospital.

We don't dare talk work at home... just kids and the AS!

I'm currently a Real Estate Broker working from home. I was a Business Education teacher for over 20 years. Before teaching I was a Assistant Administrator/Safety Coordinator for a Fibre Drum Co. My wife is a NeoNatal Nurse and has been doing so since she left Nursing School. I will not say how long as that will give away her age. *S*.

p.s. I am currently looking for another career. My wife says, I need to bring in some money. So, if you are hiring, please let me know.

Marine Gynecologist/Saving the World!

We live on beautiful Kootenay Lake, British Columbia, where we own a small marina. Ken is a certified Marine Mechanic (or, as he calls himself, a marine gynecologist) and I save the world on a daily basis as I work for the Canadian Red Cross, affectionately known to us as "DisastersRUs". We rent our beach-front house out by the week in summers and live on our 28' Bayliner boat, which is a challenge with 2 big black labs. Now that we are Airstreamers we can sleep on terra firma as well as on the lake!
