I manage a large chain grocery store in Colorado. My wife is also in retail management. All I can say about that is that I love where I get to live. We're right in the mountains, and consider it a great launching pad to all our favorite national parks. Probably 20 years from retirement.

I was an Int'l Flight Attendant with TWA airlines for 15years, then painted murals and faux finishes for the next 15 years. I'm now a portrait painter and sculptress.

I can say that I was absolutely attracted to my Bambi because I felt like I was at home in my little 'galley' and snuggled in my fuselage 'cacoon'!

You can view my art at Artist Portfolio - Debra Schott - Portrait Painter, Murals,Realism

I am a disabled veteran. My wife stays at home and helps out with me and our two and half year old boy. She needs a medal for that.

Hi,
I've been a professional photographer for over 20 years. Specialising in Industrial and Commercial work. For the last 15 years I've worked for The Ministry of Defence, formerly in publicity and latterly in a place I can't tell you about!
However, I was originally trained as a mining engineer in the coal industry - hence, I love getting my hands dirty! Lol!
I still do commercial work as and when it comes up - here are a couple of pictures.

The first was taken in Oman a few weeks after 9/11. The second I took recently for a firm that fits and rents out coaches for the stars touring in Europe: Phoenix-bussing.co.uk Their client list reads like the top 40.

On the road to 500 I think I will start a thread asking for all the Mac users to come forward. I think the percentage is quite high!

Marc

Thank you Babeebloos!

Photography is defined as: "Drawing with light" I saw your portfolio and you "paint light" extremely well.

Hi Georgia

I started this thread FOR my 500th post, didn't I?

I'm actually quite pleased with the response.
I can't decide what is the most commom thread holding us all together, though!

Ebay geek

I used to be a freelance video engineer specialized in business presentations, travelled a lot, for about 10 years,
but switched carriers 6 years ago

I now own a business buying non-mainstream computers and selling them to (other) geeks , mostly in europe, using Ebay.
We trade anything that doesn't run MS windows, mostly mac SGI and Sun's.
We are still surprised we can make a living of it, and its a lot of fun to do.

Annieta is a stay-at-home mom for both our kids , Sven( 3 y/o) and Lynn (1 y/o)

I own a real estate brokerage and I sing in a duo. Lewis is a commercial construction superintendent. And we are raising our 6 year old grandson, that is the hardest job of all!

Brad is the automation supervisor for a facility that destroys chemical weapons and I am the manager of the Outreach Office, which provides information to the public about it. We are both government contractors (for different companies). I really LOVE the fact that he is helping make the world a safer place--I told him I was not moving to Arkansas unless he found me a job telling people about what he does. Dang if he didn't find one! So here we are.

You can check out the projects here if you are interested: Chemical Weapons Disposal

Tammy--there are bubble suits with respirators in our field, too. Thankfully neither one of us have to wear them (although we do have M40 masks).

Exclamation what do you do for work?

I"m a little new here, so I just tell people to tell my mom that I'm a convicted bank robber, just don't tell her I'm school bus driver!!! I'm used to having 30+ ft of metal dragging behind me, but when I got the airstream, I had to learn to back up something that bent in the middle!!! sit down and be quiet !!
