Thanks for serving our country, and welcome back, good luck.

How did you build the bridge so fast? In Washington State we have to do so many studies you just want to screem.

After reading all the 129 posts this morning, most Airstreamer are highly educated in some professional field. I feel so dumb with no College Degree. At work I am purchasing agent, inventory control, janitor, laundry person, advertising person, shelf stocking boy, maintenance person, painter, window washer, answer the phone, carry out person, mail boy, dishwasher, book keeper, retail sales person, yard man, garbage man, computer problems I don't do. Most of my customers are 4 legged and come with their human owner. I have tried hard to get fired, but my wife insists I need to keep working. It is easier for her to keep tabs on me when I can't get away from work. And we are doing it for the Kids. I want them to finish College so I can be out of here and give them the business. I hope this summer we can hook up the trailer and get going.

Work? Sometimes

Let's see, I've taught in a planetarium, done improv theater in Chicago, been the PR pro for a theme park (16 rides on the roller coaster before they put in the head rests - and except for this tttiiiiccckkkk I'm just fine!), been a VP twice, and now, I'm a part time marketing/political consultant, part time writer and part time mom. It's a lot of parts, but that's where the improv comes in.

Adam works in concrete (foundations, pools, no shoes) but we live mostly off the grid, color outside the lines and now, are proud owners of our own silver capsule (for 3 weeks! sooo exciting!).
I have no rivets, but seem to be holding together...

Nice to meet everybody!

Is NOW the time to tell you that OUR son is in his THIRTEENTH year of college, has a Master's Degree in May, and is presently RUINING my dream of driving through Canada and down to Rochester, NY (where he is) with our Airstream, to go to Graduation?

HAIL NO.. he doesn't "WANT to participate in the "stage ceremony." "
he just wants a "Graduation party at home" to which I say I don't WANT to have a party at home.

We have suffered greatly every one of those 13 years, oh, there have been so many dramas.. and now the joy of watching the FOOL graduate is quickly disappearing from my life.

So you're doing it for your kids?

Sounds like you are doing just fine without that Degree. The Degree certainly doesn't make the person, nor does the degree make one smart. In the end it all comes down to how much you can "Get 'r Done." The walk is always better than the talk! If you'll allow me...Congratulations on all of your successes in life!

I agree! Read the above post and then tell me how much my son is worth, with a MASTER"S DEGREE. I think they're giving those degrees out to just anybody :-)

And I have heard grumblings and rumblings about a DOCTORATE, but I fear this educated fool will be hiding in my basement for yet another summer.
