Safari LS Upgrade

I'm looking at a 2005 25' Safari LS. I believe the 2005 Safari 25' base price was around $40k. I'm hoping someone could ballpark the retail LS Upgrade cost so I can assess what a fair price should be. Anyone have a rough guess? Thanks.

I hope these MSRP numbers for a 2007 25' Safari FB will help:

Special Edition Upgrade $4,786
Front Panoramic Window $1,059.00

Welcome from the Florida Panhandle

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

We have a 2005 Safari LS 25FB, named Lucy.

Here's the price info from her documents:

25FB - $42.653.00

LS Upgrade - $2,214.00 - this option included: spare tire; Fantastic Fan; black tank rinse system; Aquajet water pump; cast taillights; electric hitch jack; 13,500 BTU A/C with heat pump; Pure Touch filtering kitchen faucet; screen door guard; 2 jackets and 2 caps; Ls graphics.

Audio/Video Upgrade Package - $2,955.00

Bi-fold range cover - $34.00

Gally skylight with shade - $355.00

Destination Charge - $306.00

TOTAL MSRP - $48,517.00

We bought Lucy new from an Airstream dealer in June, 2006. We paid $37,890 as a last year's model.

I hope this info helps.

Brian

Wow. Unbelievable feedback so quickly. Thanks! What do leather sofas run? The interior walls seem to also have that soft vinyl foam feel. I assume now that must be extra and not part of the LS upgrade.

Yeah - interesting point too about what you paid versus the retail. I've been noticing around 20% discounts off sticker, give or take. That helps validate my observations. You got a great deal. The asking price of this 05 seems to be close to what I'm guessing was paid back in 05, so I'm trying to arm myself with information as to a fair price. Very helpful. Thanks.

jeff, I also have the Safari 25 LS. But what you failed to mention is the bed type. Are you talking queen, Front Bed or Twin Beds? There is a slight price difference. I have the twin bed option and all the stuff Moostags describes. I paid $38k plus tax NEW, which included the hitch package.

This is a rear "queen", I believe. No dinette. Leather sofa and aluminum skin on refregerator. Has some hail damage, but not bad. Looking at it in person tomorrow.

The LS package is well worth it. I would also suggest, if you are ordering one, that you pay to upgrade to the 15k BTU A/C unit. We'll worth it IMHO.

I have the same unit you are looking at that I bought as a 2004 model. I can be in direct sunlight, 100 degrees+ outside and still hang meat in my Airstream.

I also would wholeheartedly suggest getting a second fantastic vent for the rear vent. Both items have proven to be very good additions to the 25' SS.
