Because at last we have a string of great days in the forecast and we're heading out for the first time since last fall, cruising to Bennett Springs SP, one of our favorite Missouri parks. Today and tomorrow, I'm airing out Gypsy (NO rain forecast!!), provisioning/restocking her supplies, and dusting her top to bottom. She'll have to hit the road with all her winter grime on her outer skin, but who knows, we may even give her a bath or at least a rubdown while in camp. Oh, the joy! ~G

Counting the days 'till we are reunited for the Memorial Day Weekend for our next trip together. It will be short length of stay, but it will still be camping!

Because the dinette end panel replacement project is done and I am ready to summerize the Minuet. Then we be ready for camping! Before and after photo attached. The PO had painted the fabric end panel bright Red. The new one is alder stained to match the wood grain vinyl through out the Minuet. New panel has an access door added, where we store the setup stuff wheel chocks, locks, chains, and hitch stuff.

the legend of sleeping beauty...

just to the west, and in the same field of view as the last picture...

every spring she has white tears running down her cheek until the sun dries them...

sleeping beauty...

another version of the legend...

Lovely Thursday!

It is Thursday! And I my Bambi for taking us to the Area 33 Rally. We had such a great time! Just got home a couple hours ago and are already looking forward to the next event. Now... if summer would only "show" up! It has been rain, rain, and rain. When we got home we had to turn our heater back on in the house. Geez, it is California.... and almost June!

BTW, very nice pics 2Air!

I like my Airstream because

Today she got new drains in the kitchen sink, replacing the old corroded ones, and a new longer faucet to replace the old bathroom type that some PO put in. And rock guards for her beautiful windows, tho it will be a while before we are ready to put them on. She is beginning to look pretty spiffy with some primer and touch-up paint where a PO (&$?^#)wire-brushed??!!!!the paint off of some of her rivets (Why would anybody DO that?). It won't be a total new paint job but she (like me) will look pretty good going down the road at 40 miles an hour if you don't look really close (kinda like me!)
