It's Thursday and I love my Airstream because it's now sitting in the driveway, gleaming for all to see, after being stored away in a dark, cold barn. We're in packing mode, soon off to re-introduce it to palm trees and Jimmy Buffett tunes as opposed to snow, snow and more snow...
People out walking their dogs stop for a chat, and one of them in particular was in awe - said that it was so cool for us to have the "Cadillac of trailers"... I like to think of it as more Aston Martin-ish cool myself...

I have just finished airing her out, scrubbing her insides, vacuumed all the cracks and crevices, shampooed the carpet and scrubbed out the oven, put dryer sheets in all her bins (except the k itchen), and she smells lovely.
I like my Airstream because she is Romance, and I love romance!
I love my sweet Bambi! But today I will laud praises on the Flying Cloud! With a lot of luck and some good fortune we got our Flying Cloud registered today, license plate in hand and all!
It was one of those times when we actually enjoyed going to the DMV! The gal at the window who waited on us asked what we needed, and we said register a vintage Airstream! Well, that was the *magic* word! She said, Oh, I have a little 16 footer made in the 1950s in my yard ~ my ex left it, he didn't want it... the conversation only got better from there! (She didn't know if it was a Pacer or a Bubble...) So this sweet gal helped us with the paperwork and we were outta there in no time!

CaddyGrn, And you didn't buy it, If you have the flying cloud finished you have to have something to keep Don busy with. It sound like the perfect pod for next years area 33.
Wow 2Air, that's a real beauty. Bet you wish you had kept her as a keepsake. I know there are a lot of folks here on the forums that would love to have her now.

Teresa,
The Cloud is still sitting in pieces... Don bought it shortly after he finished the Bambi. It is a major project... if he gets the shell back on the frame by next year it will be great! Don has so many projects... finish painting the house, finish making the new shelving/cupboards in the study, finish my 48 Cadillac, finish his 33 Chevy.... the list goes on. He needs to live to 408 at least!

It is once again time to think about my sweet Bambi! She is sitting snugly in the garage awaiting our next rally. Soon the weather *should* turn to spring (we had snow flakes two days ago...) and she will be able to come out of hibernation! She can't wait to get on the road and try out her new axle!
Always happy to think nice things....

It is Thursday and I love my airstream because she looks so pretty with her new credenza with spaces for books, CD's, paintset and my 3-D collection, even the radio and cassette player( the cassette player does'nt work but couldn't figure out how to unplug it without the radio going dead so it stays! I love to build things for her.
