It's Thusday " Thanksgiving" I love my Airstream, because my in laws showed up today and they are sleeping in the trailer tonight. Instead of the house.

Life is like a roller coaster, a whole lot of up's and down's..
Well, actually it's Friday! But boy did the Rollertoaster ever come in handy yesterday...Used the refrigerator to stash casseroles, beverages, and desserts, and the oven for extra re-heating space. Only about 100ft. from the house, it was a real unexpected bonus to the festivities.
And there was only one brief moment during all the happy chaos (feeling very thankful to have 4 generations in the mix) that I wanted to climb in and close the door on my silver escape pod. Nothing a little champagne couldn't cure...!!
Like SilverGate, we're coming up onto our 1 year anniversary (Dec.1!!!) and can't believe how much we appreciate the A/S life.. and the Airforums!
Many many thanks,
Janet
The last time I polished her was October of 06, and although she's parked out in the weather year round, she still looks great!
Although she does need a wash...
Dave
Wash her again and you may find out that she needs polishing again.
We are in a severe drought here in North Georgia so my Airstream is in a severe need of a wash. Guess that gives me an excuse for why it hasn't been done all summer/fall and probably won't get done before spring unless I find time to get it done at a truck stop en route on our next camping trip in December.
But, dirty or clean, I still like my Airstream!!!

...because she looks so Christmasy with the lighted wreath on her door. We don't go all out for decorating, but the wreath adds just the right note. She likes it so much, she won't let me turn off her holiday lights. I plugged them in on the outside outlet to the left of the door to test them out, and now I cannot get the plug out of the socket-argh! So she'll look pretty day and night until the lights burn out--maybe by Valentines Day. My plan was to attach a timer, but hey... ~G

Go, Mizzou...Tigers on the prowl!
Because in three short weeks I'll be burning my calendar and taking off my watch. I'm retiring, and my last day will be 12/21!! What a Christmas present. Now I'll be able to hook up and leave whenever the fancy strikes me. Too bad the DW has 8 years to go. Not too bad though, she's getting a well deserved sabatical next semester, and gets an expense paid trip to China.
Here's to freedom.

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because she reminds me (constantly) to get out more. Help! I'm trapped in my house and can't get out! Seven more weeks of disposing (in all manners) of house stuff and we close on the sticks and bricks and are purely and solely Airstreaming. Woohoo!
Robert, Happy Birthday and Happy new Retirement!
Tom, two more weeks and you get great hours, love your boss, and everything is pretty much up to you. We are three months and two days into it and LOVE IT.

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream so much I bought her a new tow vehicle! Tomorrow I take delivery of a 2008 F-250 PSD Lariat crew cab with all the bells and whistles. Can't wait to take her on her first trip in two weeks.
