Very nice USMC birds!

P.S.
Love your signature! It reminds me of the spirit that two of my young neighbors have -- they were just accepted into the Navy Seal program and they are bubbling over with pride and enthusiasm!

Thanks for the "head's up". We checked with our Dollar General and they hadn't displayed them yet (too early with snow still on the ground) but they had them in the back. We picked up several additional sets ~ just in case ours decide to fly the coop. I figure we are good for a long while...

I'm ashamed to say it - I don't have any flamingos. Except for some on a pair of pyjamas from Target, but they don't count.

Anyone know of where/how to get some in Canada?

Unfortunately no!

Most of my US travels take me down to FL thru NY and states south of there.

I go to Vegas every year though - would be funny to carry some pink flamingos through airport security.

I've got a trip planned for the last week of April to go down to Florida to escape this never-ending white landscape we've got up here.

Wonder if I could find something down there?

I'm about an hour south of Jackson Center - checked every Dollar General in the Columbus area - none to be found. Maybe it's just too early in the season here.

You could always order them from the Airstream Store.

We asked the manager if they had them...they had just gotten them in and not put them out yet. I'd say check back in a couple of days...or ask an employee to look in the back.

Thanks for the heads up about thre flamingos at Dollar General. I got mine Friday in Conroe TX. I have the sheets and PJ's. Today I got a whirly wing flamingo at my local ace hardware for 3.99 + tax.

Gary- Beware; the flamingo at AS are imported from China and may have the Bird Flu. Nothing against JC but they never carried the Featherstone Flamingos.

All jokes aside - are there any quality issues with those on Airstream.com?

I think I'll wait until I get down to Florida. If I order them from JC it'll cost me $30 with shipping, plus fees and surcharges that UP$ always tacks on...

I like the idea, but too much.

I had traveled to JC to inspect, interview and evaluate the Pink Flamingos in Sept. 2006. As noted, they were from China and did not hold visas or traveling papers from Homeland Security. Other than that they were pink, each had a pair of metal legs and did appear to resemble a flamingo. So, nothing wrong with them as long as one understands they are not the Don Featherstone designs. When I had last spoken with Don about the rip-offs on the market he remarked that it was not praticle to persue imitators.
