After reading a bunch of threads on issues like customer service, quality control, price point, build issues, whatever it is- could be RV lifestyle in general? I'd really like to know everyones opinion.

We bought used but pretty new, its an 08 Ocean Breeze. Yes it does have corrosion issues but it tows so well. We have had longer trailers however I think we found the right size for us. The 19ft allows us to fit just about anywhere. Gas mileage also improved, from 8 to 13 and yet we still have everything we had in the larger trailers.

Yes, new Airstreams are disappointing...but they're LESS disappointing than EVERYTHING else in life!

We've had our NEW AS going on three years this summer. At present its sitting in Jackson Center having had some MINOR warranty work done. The weather has not been condusive to hauling it back across Ohio yet. Every time we plan to go het her, we get snow or freezing drizzle or high winds.

Any way, my suggestion to you is to discontinue reading! 'Streamin is way too much fun and meeting other campers is way too filled with interest to worry. ENJOY your AS and quit reading! Those of us without problems don't bother to write and say how much we're enjoying it.........that'll probably be you, too.

Three years and warranty work?

had a new 2005 safari and now a new 2007 classic,no remorse here.have had plenty of trailers over the last 25 years,and nothing even comes close to airstream.if you travel distances an sob on most of the roads in the usa will be rattled apart.been there and have done that.tows better than any other trailer i have owned.if i was in the market today ,i would be buying another new airstream.

My RV'in brother has gone through two factory new SOB's since I've owned my (new) 2008 30S/O. I could list ten issues (just the ones ranging from serious to showstopper) he's had on each.

Compared to our '67 Ambassador (from what I'm told, I was just a twinkle in my Dad's eye then), and our factory new '76 Sovereign- our 2008 30S/O is superior in every regard, including build quality.

We have had our sweet Lucy almost 4 years now. We bought her new in June of 2006. We have pulled Lucy over 50,000 miles and and have spent almost 600 nights in her. Our only regret in that we we did not get into Airstreaming sooner.

We will have had ours a year in April, and the only remorse is that it's sitting in storage in the Keys and we haven't used it this winter. We'll pick her up the first part of May and hit Bluewater for two weeks before heading home. I like the stop reading comment, get out and enjoy, warts and all!

Does my '63 count as newer? Yes, I've made some repairs/improvements but ; I have enjoyed every moment I've worked on it and the thousands of miles traveled it.

No regrets here. Bought our 2001 Safari 25SS used several years ago and still love it...warts and all. We go to the annual RV show and have not seen anything we like better...including the new Airstreams.

Considering the price premium Airstreams sell for I think some first-time owners mistakenly believe they are flawless. Most experienced RV'ers know there's no such thing as a flawless RV...of any sort. Airstream is just different than 99% of SOBs -- you either appreciate them for what they are, or you don't.
