We have had our sweet Lucy almost 4 years now. We bought her new in June of 2006. We have pulled Lucy over 50,000 miles and and have spent almost 600 nights in her. Our only regret in that we we did not get into Airstreaming sooner.

We will have had ours a year in April, and the only remorse is that it's sitting in storage in the Keys and we haven't used it this winter. We'll pick her up the first part of May and hit Bluewater for two weeks before heading home. I like the stop reading comment, get out and enjoy, warts and all!

Does my '63 count as newer? Yes, I've made some repairs/improvements but ; I have enjoyed every moment I've worked on it and the thousands of miles traveled it.

No regrets here. Bought our 2001 Safari 25SS used several years ago and still love it...warts and all. We go to the annual RV show and have not seen anything we like better...including the new Airstreams.

Considering the price premium Airstreams sell for I think some first-time owners mistakenly believe they are flawless. Most experienced RV'ers know there's no such thing as a flawless RV...of any sort. Airstream is just different than 99% of SOBs -- you either appreciate them for what they are, or you don't.

My wife and I think Airstreaming is very cool, the lifestyle, people you meet Airstreaming, can't get much better??

So you have some projects to do, do them, get out and have some fun, that's what it's all about!

Going on the road is like an earthquake

Taking a travel trailer on our highways has been likened to having your house experience a 5. earthquake......and some of the bumps we hit feel like that.......so things are going to move around and maybe even break. But we still like our silver trailer and have no remorse......even though it took longer for our rebuild than it would have taken for a new one.

We feel we do have a "new" Airstream....just not one from the Jackson Center factory. Not all trailers are in good enough shape to be rebuilt after 40 years and parts of our trailer are not perfect either--perfection is a tall order--but those imperfections give our SteSpot her character--like dimples in her shiny skin and we are often mistaken for being a "new" Airstream when we travel. paula

We have had our A/S for one year and really love it. Easy to tow and is real solid compared to many SOBs.

No Regrets

Remorse? No way ...

Issues? Sure
Repairs? Several (minor)
Frustrations? Sometimes
Ideas for Improvement? You betcha

But even though SOBs may have more interior space, cost less, have larger tanks, use same basis appliances, I doubt I'll EVER change brands, so long as basic A/S qualilty and build holds up.

The maintenance of systems and repairs is likely a lot less than a small cottage of similar vintage, so I can't complain with any justification. Can't wait to get back on the road!

I'm glad I have Newer than Older.

I have Purchased a 2010 Inter'l CCD 25' FB and am Very happy. Had an older Argosy. Spent a lot of time fixing her up. Loved it, but Honestly I love our NEW one much better. Has minor issues, but NO regrets. It's New, Beautiful and has that new car smell. Towing her is a breeze. Couldn't be happier. Makes my heart feel warm when inside, the argosy not so much. I made the right Choice.

Spot on!

but... I'm not sure about 'larger tanks'... my luvsub's got 60F/40G/40B... I've not seen that capacity in other SOB's
