Just wondering how many are doing

What I'm working on now loading the camper for a long weekend of camping. My son is out of school Thursday and Friday so we are going to one of the local campgrounds so my husband can drive to work. I just found out the weather here is going to turn just a little chilly so I added a few more blankets and long sleeve shirts. Let's here from all you weekend campers.

weekend campers

We just returned from a weekend down in Leauge City, TX where we stayed at the Marina Bay R.V. Resort. Pricey at 33 bucks a night but only 5 minutes from the Watergate marina where our new (to us) sailboat is moored. It was a wonderful weekend!

Grandsons, 5 and 8, are coming for Saturday. We'll be "camping" in Gypsy, down by the pond, fishing, and rowing around. With our ongoing drought, we'll even be able to walk on the pond bottom at the edges Sad, but the boys will think that's neat. We'll do hotdogs and marshmallows, and pretend we are far, far away! ~Grandma

Yes, it the "offical" end of the NEU 2006 rally season

A big bunch of Airstreams will be camping together in Townshend VT. Camping season is nearly over for those of us in the northeast for the year.

Oh well, a few months of freezing our buns off, then a couple of months of "mud season" and we'll be into the 2007 camping and rally season!

Went up to Pennsylvania about ten days ago. Will be camping near Crisfield, MD this weekend with a handfull of unit members, and the next week we'll be in New Hope, PA for 4 days with the WDCU. I can't wait until I retire so we can do some camping.

Next weekend we'll be at Huntington lake, CA in the Sierras, and 2 weeks after that we're going to Refugio St. Beach near Santa Barbara. Lucky me!

Well, we are thinking about a one day adventure Friday evening... not sure, depends upon several "should do" items. Then in a couple of weeks going to the NorCal Rally at Lake San Antonio, then drive up north to Beverly Beach! These will probably be the last two outings for awhile. Winter will soon be upon us. We are surrounded by lovely trees, but in the fall.... we have an overabundance of leaves on the ground! It will be time to rake, rake, rake, and rake some more!

We're spending this Columbus Day weekend in New Hampshire at Beech Hill Campground in Twin Mountain Region. This has been a great first season for us, taking many weekend trips in our Bambi. Hope to hike a mountain or two.

We will be camping this weekend out in the Mojave near I-40 and Kelbaker rd. Warm enough for a cold beer at dinner and cool enough for a campfire at night.
