Its Thursday.....I like my Airstream cause we get to go camping today! We are headed off to Burro Creek,Arizona. A nice little desert campground operated by the BLM. The creek has a bit of water and some scruffy mesquite & Palo Verde trees, not a forest but nice this time of year. And we are getting modern,we have running water, stove & fridge work. Life is good. I am gratefull to be an American & alive! Adios, John

i like my airstream because it is a luxury condo that i can change the scenery on as i travel thru this great country.keeps me inspired to keep putting one foot in front of the other.meet great people as i travel willing to share lifes experiences, which i would never have the opportunity staying in a hotel.great hobby for me since it keeps me engaged in different things where i can feel a sense of accomplishment doing things for myself.i am not the most mechanically inclined,so this hobby keeps me in learning mode most of the time.

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream becuase we are heading out for one last trip this evening for the Haloween long weekend. All the ghosts and goblins will be out and Katarina (our '06) is loaded to the ceiling lockers with candy and goodies.

Temperatures in the "mountains" of PA are supposed to be down in the 20's every night this wekeend. I guess we won't be needing too much ice for the ghoulish libations.

Not to mention that the Phildelphia Phillies Won the World Series last night

West Point Rally

it's Thursday and I am busy preparing for my last Rally of the year which starts tomorrow - Watchung NJ Unit's West Point Rally. We will be rallying on campus and attending the Army-Air Force football game on Sat.

GO ARMY!

A few West Point Cadets will come by our rally spot after the game and judge our 'Putting on the Ritz' hor devours contest. My sampling will be scallops wrapped in bacon.

I've got a pizza in the Magic Chef oven, the 12V lights are just the right brightness and the sound of rain on the shell is relaxing. My dogs are curled up together on the gaucho and all is well. I really couldn't ask for a better home right now.

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because :

* It's our home

* Now winter frosts are here it's keeping us very cosy

* It provides us with a third of life's essentials - food, clothing and
shelter

* It reminds me of my wife's response on first seeing trailer when
shipped from USA : quote from our diary 23 May 2007 - "I really,
really, really think it's beautiful"

* Still the same feeling today

* It handles impeccably on the road

* It's American along with our tow vehicle and motorcycle. Blame
my father for the American thing - buying me Popular Mechanics
in the 50's. Anyone remember the trunk tester Jim McCahill - I think
he was called

* I will never have to buy another RV, nor have I any desire to. Had
3 motorhomes that were all junk!

Enjoy your Airstreams - we love 'em

Beacause..... I just bought all new foam and fabric to make dinette cushions. I love the fabric and I even have anough for some throws pillow and little curtains above the sink. So my love for it just grows.

I like my AS because I get to work on it, again. I just picked up a piece of aluminum to repair a section of the belly pan, I just like to work on it, don't really much of a reason. Also I like to touch and rub it, I think my AS likes it to. We both smile.
