It's Thursday, and I love my Airstream because we are leaving tomorrow on our first trip of the season! It will be a wonderful, relaxing long weekend with good friends.

Isn't that what it's all about?

Happy camping, everyone!

It's Thursday and I love my airstream because we're headed to Titusville with friends to watch the next to the last Shuttle launch. Success is knowing when to stop and play.

Yay, first road trip of the year. Off to Omahaha for four days in the Overlander. Wheels up in about 15 minutes, y'all.

It's Thursday, and we are loading up and testing things. We leave for Montana tomorrow morning. Fishing, relaxing, camping and enjoying our first "retirement" trip. Hopefully we will have many more.

The floor covering, magazine rack and new shelves in the bathroom are done. Headed west to the trees yay! Iron City Campground on Friday if there is an open spot. Don't generally like campgrounds but this one is an exception. Couple of days of much needed R&R. Wheels turning in 5 hours.

It's Thursday, and I like my airstream because.....

It is an enigma. Will my future stream be a fully rennovated trailer or will it be a new unit? Will it be polished Alclad, or clear coated? There are so many "Ifs" out there. I many not have her now, but she runs through my head every day.

Because it's clean and ready to camp! Ignore the dent I put in her, it will be fixed along with the hail damage!

It's Thursday, and I love my Argosy for many reasons, but I'm especially happy that we are leaving tomorrow to head out for a long weekend with friends!!!

Blmitch5 - I feel your pain! When we were leaving on a trip a few weeks ago, the rear wheels on the passenger side slipped off the pavement going around a tight corner. The rear bumper hit the pavement, and buckled the panel above it. Nothing else was damaged, except our pride!

It's Wednesday - but I'll be busy having a good time tomorrow!

It's Wednesday and tomorrow I'm off on a little trip and I Love it!

It took me a little while to get the wanderlust. After 4 years of static airstreaming (I know that sounds counter-intuitive to some of you) I purchased a 67 Caravel, a Land Rover that could pull it and I'm ready to do this right.

We had a practice run out to a www.ukairstreamers.org meet - teamed up with the My Cool Caravan peeps(check them out on FaceBook).

..and this trip is special! Not only the partner's birthday(A big one, but I'm discreet). Getting on the ferry and going over to the Isle of Wight, a place which appeals to my sense of retro and peaceful.
But also invited to visit www.vintagevacations.co.uk A fantastic site with 10 classic airstreams for the retro camper who wants to escape the tv and mobile and all the rest of the stresses of modern living.

Will post some pics on my return.

Moonie,

Have a great time on your minitrip!

For that extra zing of Retro, take an ancient motorbike with you to the Isle of Wight!

It's Thursday and I LOVE my airstream because, she is just such a wonderful home away from home. We brought her to our land up in the NC mountains and though she struggled to get up the driveway, she made it with dignity....we are putting in the essentials to have our very own one-camper hide-away....Septic in and operational, temporary power pole passed inspection today, well to be drilled in the next week...just the spot to get away from the Florida heat.

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because it fills my needs for both shelter and a creative outlet.

We're camping in it for all of July. I love the immediacy of stepping out my front door into a cedar forest. Since it's raining, I may start stenciling flamingos on the bathroom wall, or work on the curtains, or the dinette cushions, or...
