It's Thursday and I like my Airstream so much I bought her a new tow vehicle! Tomorrow I take delivery of a 2008 F-250 PSD Lariat crew cab with all the bells and whistles. Can't wait to take her on her first trip in two weeks.
Just remember your Manuel says to drive 500 miles before hooking up a trailer. Or at least the manuel in my '07 did.

Happy and safe trails...
It's supposed to be in the upper 60's and low 70's this weekend and the next week so I'll probably put that many miles on it within the next week just riding around with the sun roof open!

Thursday already? Gee, we were just outside sitting in our Coleman camp chairs (the ones with a handy adult beverage holder built in the arm). Kris finished 1/3 of the 2nd coat of POR15 on the chassis and I'd gotten the tires and shocks off one side of the trailer. We were discussing the changes to the original bath layout we want to make and the motif of the finished cabinetry...I was thinking Stickley, she's leaning toward Post Modern. Ah, the absolute pleasure of looking at an aluminum shell suspended above a naked frame! New technologies combined with the time-honored look of the Airstream; You just can't ask for a better way to spend those thinking moments on this mortal coil.
In the meantime, the Silver Tuna sits... patiently awaiting a rebirth into whatever configuration its owners desire. I like my Airstream because it allows the genies to redesign the bottle.
and I love my Airstream because she sits at ready week after week although we cannot take her anywhere for six more weeks.
She's ready when we are! We can hardly wait -- eight more rooms of furniture (oh yeah, that's all the rooms) and less than a hundred boxes of stuff (we haven't packed those boxes yet) and we are free of this sticks & bricks existence.

"what ice, let's go" was the message in her voice today.
yes, she's a talking trailer, not a factory option but common with some models and years
cheers

Oh my gosh, I have that option too! Right now I need to find the volume control, it's hard to hear anything else. "Take me out the road is wating for us!". Can't wait for spring.
Its Thurs and I love my Airstream because she is very ably guarding Snow White until we find a longer term parking place for our African Argosy.
Sherry -- yeah we can hear the yelling too. We're getting close to going. We've sold over 1/3 of the furniture and are taking calls daily for the remainder. At this rate we'll be sleeping on the floor or moving into our Airstream in two weeks. We're in Charlotte, a teeny bit warmer than Brevard. Hang in there,
Jim

Because she is packed and ready to roll for our 5 day Christmas camping trip that starts tomorrow. Can't wait to deck her out in holiday lights and get a little lit myself. Merry Christmas to all!
...because though she's dirty and ice streaked parked out by the barn, in just a few days time, she'll be our home away from home as we head down south to the Can Opener. It's too frigid here for a bath and shine, so she may be the grimiest Airstream that pulls into TopSail Hill next week, thanks to winter weather and road stuff, but she keeps us happy, warm or cool, as needed. We really do love our Airstream, Thursdays and all other days as well. Happy New Year, friends! ~G
