Hey Tin Sista, that ain't no dog biscuit! YUM! Looks like your baking endeavors were successful.

It's Thursday, and I like my Airstream because today baby got new shoes . . . shiny red ones with BF Goodrich Commercial T/A soles. Many thanks to my good friends at Coker Tire who found ways to spice her up in spite of losing the wide whitewalls.

Rivet European Crust

Hi Sista,

That’s a pretty nice looking loaf of bread. One trick for heavy crust, like on French Bread, is to put a pan of water on a lower oven shelf. The steam makes the heaver crust. In the Dutch Oven, you could put an inch or so in the bottom and put the bread in something like a pie pan raised above the water with spacers. Perhaps rings made from old tuna cans. An old restaurant owner taught me the crust trick.

It is/was Thursday and I love my Airstream because she took us to Topsail Hill Preserve for Labor Day and kept us luxuriously comfy for the entire weekend. (For those not familiar with Topsail Hill, it is rated as one of the top camp grounds in America and is the top state park in Florida, and is at the beach.)

We put out the awnings and put up the potable gazebo and all the big globe lights around both. I was a little afraid commercial aircraft might get confused and try to land on our campsite, though. We had our pink flamingo lights on the trailer awning and our Airstreams and cars lights on the gazebo. We got lots of looks as people rode by on their bi-cycles. And coincidences above all coincidences, the couple in the 5th wheel next to us was from Fayetteville, too! They were a great couple and very friendly. We also ate at Moosetag's favorite restaurant, the Red Bar. Even the park rangers couldn't recommend it enough.

We made it safe to and from without any damages or accidents to the Airstream and I always consider that to be a good trip considering my past record.

It's Thursday and I like (love) my Airstream because it is still in my driveway and the repo-man hasn't taken it yet!

They still make 'em (Coker and Universal Vintage), and I'll miss 'em, but with all my traveling I needed a better load rating. Coker set me up with powder-coated wheels, chrome valve stems, and hot rod rings.

Those whitewalls sure would look sweet on your Tradewind.

It is Thursday, and I love my Airstream because Deb and I are so cozy inside while the winds are whipping and the temps are dropping (forecast 20F tonight) in Black Hills NF, South Dakota. Head for Jackson Ctr and Sugar Creek OH tomorrow.

See ya down the road!
