Smile Its Thursday and ...

Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone!

Just packing a few more things like a new seasoned cast iron dutch oven and lid lifter. We're boondocking this weekend and I'm going to try baking bread in the great outdoors...it might just turn out to be a giant dog biscuit either way its a win win!

Its Thursday and . . .

I like my Airstream because camping on the lake is in the very immediate future.

I'm right there with you Sista . . . fresh baked bread or (dog) biscuit, someone will be happy with the outcome!

Sam likes it because today she's finishing packing it up and leaving for Montana tomorrow. She won't be back until October. Lucky Sam. I only get to fly out and meet her for a week.

Pan de Campo

Steph....try find a recipe for pan de campo before you go. You may like it if you like campfire bread. We even have competitions down here for the best results....goes great with a Chile cook off......a COLD drink does not hurt either...before, during and after the cooking session.

...because I have a third chance to pack a huge list of things before I leave this afternoon, on a journey up the coast. After two separate dreams of forgetting everything I was so relieved to realize it was still Thursday this morning!

Happy Labor Day weekend! Be safe and happy trails!

BTW it is the second anniversary for the last tent-camping trip where I dedicated myself to finding an Airstream! As we pass the campgrounds where we stayed two years ago, I'll honk, so anyone else contemplating.. just may be convinced! (Or maybe just to make 'em jealous- ha-ha)

...because she's out in her parking place, bouncing on her tires after I told her she'd be traveling to Can Opener '08 again. She's looking forward to the first trip of the new year, just like us! ~G

Because it'll be triple digits and the A/S A/C is better than the house A/C. So we're Goin camping to beat the heat.

Because we just left the cabinet shop that was working on a complete remake of all our cabinetry in our 75 Sovereign and man does it look great...

Complete with an awesome wine rack and extra drawers everywhere...

I will post some pics as soon as I pick it up!

I like my Airstream because...tomorrow she will take us to Topsail Hill Preserve for Labor Day Weekend at the beach! We will feel like we are "glamping" southern style. Can't wait to be back in our snug little silver escape pod. We'll be making "Changes in Latitudes" to close out the summer season.

Of the sound rain doesn’t make on the roof of my Excella compared to the snare drum effect that the 3 aluminum vent covers made in the Trade Wind. Sometimes it rains and I don’t even notice for a while.

Wow!! I would love to see that! I can pretend they are in my Betty. Be sure to post the pics!

I love my airstream because my husband who has been working out of town and staying in the airstream, is bringing her to meet me halfway for the Labor Day week end. So i get to spend some time with both of them!!
