Congratulations Peter and Sharon! I bet your back yard is bursting at the property lines with silver right about now.
Have fun with your new tubular toy!

It's almost Wednesday so Thursday I shall be even happier still and hopefully further along on my cleaning and shining quest.
I like my Airstream because even after long trips of dust, grit, bugs and tar she shines underneath after a good going over. Only finished the two rock guards, the gas tank cover and two of the wheels but boy are they gleaming out there! At this rate should only take about a month of IPod tunes and a few nights on the heating pad... not the AS... me. Geesch...don't get old guys. The ol' gal doesn't bend like she used to.

Ah, today's Tuesday, but Thursday after next (the 7th), we're heading out for the RMVAC rally in Salida. And, boy, are we excited! This is the first time since we bought this park that we're actually leaving the place during the summer! Oh, and my prep of the Airstream is going fine, too!

Where is the RMVAC rallying in Salida? We spent a couple weeks there in late Sept-early Oct last year and thought it was a "best" location. Enjoy your long-awaited getaway! ~G

From the diections I have, it is just west of town at the fair grounds, near the airport.

Yes, it's closer to Poncha Springs. We finally got a handle on it by typing the physical address into one of the online map utilities.
And the excitement is building for us! And Maria has already investigated every single hot spring in the area. She's a warm-water fish.

It's Thursday and I love my Airstream because...
Tonight I'm going to hitch up the TV so it's ready to roll when I get home from work tomorrow and we're going to head down to a new campground about an hour and half away a fellow forum member told us about (thanks nilesrob) and see if the fish are biting. It's been only three weeks since our last camping excursion, but I've been looking forward to getting back in the Airstream ever since.
Now if tomorrow would just hurry up and get here!

Yeah, I'm liking ours more and more. We bought our '66 over 2 years ago and began with a surprise b-tank to be replacement and a rotted bathroom floor whch I replaced also. Last summer the water heater needed to be replaced and discovered some floor rot there too. Since then I have been all around the floor plan with various maitainance chores and have not found any more rot. This week I decided to pull the old shell for the long ago removed furnace under the galley. Under there I found....two old forks...floor is like new. Now I really like our Airstream all week!
