Hedwig first trip

Beacuse we get to take Hedwig out for the first time, Friday AM. Heading west, hope to find trees, and flyfishing. Would have liked to join the Lizard Head Pass rally but that is a little too far for the first trip. Likely there will be lots of stuff to take care of. However, if all goes well and we make good time then...?

Well It`s Thursday again and I like my Airstream better and better. I am going to start putting a few things in that I need and my wife will need these next few days to load up her doodadds in preperation for the International rally and then a short excursion into Florida afterwards. You just gotta love these silver bullets and I don`t want to leave out the cream colored ones either. Hope to see some of you there.

Just Because

I had to take the beast out yesterday to get the smog certificate. Hard to believe I hadn't been behind the wheel since the Casini Rally in April. It was only about a 2 mile drive, roundtrip, but man was it fun. A little dirty from being in storage, and I didn't have the "usual suspects" on board, but I still had that warm feeling while rollin' down the road.

Because we are running away this weekend. Nothing fancy or far just relaxation and fun. With any luck we'll meet some other lunatics at the campground and laugh the weekend away.

Also in a week and a day I'll be camping in the middle of a 600 acre ranch in Oregon. Life is good.

Str8stream, Isnt your Moho too heavy to require smog?

If it is, please let the DMV know. They keep sending those notices to get it smogged.

Our gas fire engines were required to have a smog done before we went all diesel. I'm sure they were heavier than your Moho. I think even the diesels will be required to be smogged soon.

Check a DMV Code book. Memory tells me that if you wiegh more than 5,500 lbs you are exempt. Also Moho's did'nt require smog equip for years.

The elderly ladies at the AAA where the 2 and the 210 meet (can't remember the city) know all the arcane rules. They have saved me a bundle.

Don't want to hijack this great thread, but I will check that out Milo. That's Montrose, and 10 minutes from my house. I go there all the time, and yes, they are the best. Hi Paula.

Sounds like you are gonna like your Airstream on Friday even more than Thursday. Enjoy the journey and give DG a big hello from me and Cat.
