I just backed our baby into our S-curve driveway to prepare for another weekend adventure. I have to angle between two brick pillars I lovingly call Scylla and Charybdis. It's not that I don't have guest parking ... who would willingly back a 30-footer into my drive? It's easier than it looks...

It's home at last! ... after spending two weeks at the dealership (mostly waiting for parts) getting some last minute warranty repairs, and they did an excellent job. I never realized how much I missed having it out in the yard. I think I just may go sit in it for awhile.
. . .because she's gleaming out by the barn in the back yard! With the help of two grandsons, we've polished and buffed and finished with one coat of Liquid Glass. We'll apply a second coat next week. The boys also polished the chrome wheels to a firey shine. I've found a few places to re-Vulkem on the outside and to re-caulk on the inside, but she's much fresher now than last Thursday. We have BAD clearcoat loss and oxidizing on the street side mid panels and upper end pieces, but we'll just have to live with the swirls. Today she's cleaned up and looking pretty good ~G

I am thoroughly enjoying my Airstream this Thursday as I get it prepped for our trek to the Okanagan to lounge at the lake at Osoyoos in hot weather. I'm just installing the LED marker lights I picked up this week, then a bit of tweaking of the 57 TV so my wife will be comfy driving it for 5 hours each way, and we are all set.
So NEXT Thursday I won't be able to respond because I'll be a sunburned crispy on the beach. That, of course, after fending off all the Save the Whales folks who, every time I lay down on the beach, they come running with buckets of water and wet towels to shroud me and then try to throw me back in to the water. I just HAVE to do something about this weight I've put on.

Our sweet little Airstream is sitting just at the end of the back stairs... waiting to get loaded up for a quick campout for Father's Day. Just a overnight or two to our favorite spot nearby. A little R & R for Don. He has been working on scraping paint from our victorian.... we figure it is a 2 year project. Living in an Airstream seems more agreeable at times....
Here is a picture of Don's "scaffolding"....
The restoration of our Airstream was a bit quicker than our house!
It's Thursday, first day of summer. Phoenix will be 111+ degrees today and we are getting out of town! Half a day of work and then hit the road. Destination Big Lake in the AZ White Mountains at 9200 feet. Tall pines, cool days and fly fishing.
It's Thursday again and time to sing our Airstream's praises. Last weekend I took her and got her bearings packed and brakes checked. Then I took her to our local tire shop and had the tread checked...still have 9 mm of tread left so we're good for the rest of this summer. I also had the tire pressure increased. She only had 48-50 psi per tire! So I had that increased to 65 psi.
We have some new awning lights and a new patio rug on order from Camping World for the new screened picnic table awning so we will be set for the next camping trip. We leave for our favorite camp ground, Ft. Wilderness, a week from Saturday. Also, the new hub caps and new Sunbrella seat covers for the golf cart came in this week so it will be all spiffy for the trip, too. This will be the longest camping trip we've made so far and we can't wait! Just nine more days and then we are off to Disney World for a week!

It's Thursday, and without my Airstream I never would have popped into Prescott, AZ. 3 months here now, and my only complaint is the Airstream needs a bath!
