It's the final Thursday before we hit the road for the first time this year. My work and family issues have delayed our first trip until next week. The CCD is prepped and we begin packing this weekend - can't wait.

It's Thursday... Must be Time for Cookies!

It's another Thursday... welcome back Thursday!

I still love my Airstream cuz...

1. I've put back the breakaway switch (theres more on that in another thread)

2. We finally purchased new rubber gloves for use at the dump station!

and finally....

3. Cookies served for breakfast!

It's not only Thursday - it's the first Thursday (day) for our new old 62 Bambi at our home! I just brought her in this afternoon and I'm jazzed. I will post photos on a new thread shortly.

It's Thursday, I like my Airstream because the infamous 'Dometic Recall List fix'
was done to the Safari today, and we're ready to go again on a trip!

It's Thursday and our Airstream is taking us to Pennyrile Forrest State Park for the weekend. It is still not finished, but getting closer all the time. Yep, that is why I like my Airstream.

… I can see it clearly now, the cataract is gone!

2 days post-op left eye cataract surgery and lens placement.

Well, as 2air’ says, life is good…

and the Airstream just gets better lookin’ all the time!

Cheers!

...and I like my Airstream because, I just moved her back to her dirt spot (instead of in front of my driveway), and the little strip I carved out - while the ground was still pliable- made her perfectly level!

Now, those neighbors across the street better sell their house, so I can leave the airstream in front of my house and get back to polishing!!

Looking back this past winter then i was at a state park, on the ocean. My 1st time in the AS (or any R.V. for that matter). It was 10 bellow outside and i was pulling power from two sites to keep warm. The dogs laid out on the floor, a hot dinner was in the making and i had my feet up and looking out the window like a cat. The ocean got to be one sheet of ice for two or three days. I stayed like this for a month. And loved every day. And yes, i love my AS and hope she loves me back.

Lovin' the Airstream

Hello everyone! Ahhhhhh, Thursday!

Our sweet little Airstream took us to the Area 33 rally and had a fabulous time! Lots of great people, fun, food, food, fun, food, fun, food, fun, food, food, and food! Our sweet little Airstream also brought us home safely... after escaping from alien abduction!

OK, so it's Friday, but it was a neat week. Our buddies purchased the twin to our '51 Flying Cloud this week and it comes home next week, so by Thursday I was feeling pretty good about how things have worked out. That's two Airstreams in our car club (it should almost be called a car/trailer club the way we use our cars of late). Anways, so on Thursday I was sitting in my trailer thinking how neat it is that I've become not just an Airstream parent but also an Airstream uncle .

Dang! I missed Thursday, but I can tell you that it's Friday and I like my Airstream because it will take my honey, my cat, and me away for the entire summer in just 18 days!

I just backed our baby into our S-curve driveway to prepare for another weekend adventure. I have to angle between two brick pillars I lovingly call Scylla and Charybdis. It's not that I don't have guest parking ... who would willingly back a 30-footer into my drive? It's easier than it looks...

because...

It's home at last! ... after spending two weeks at the dealership (mostly waiting for parts) getting some last minute warranty repairs, and they did an excellent job. I never realized how much I missed having it out in the yard. I think I just may go sit in it for awhile.

. . .because she's gleaming out by the barn in the back yard! With the help of two grandsons, we've polished and buffed and finished with one coat of Liquid Glass. We'll apply a second coat next week. The boys also polished the chrome wheels to a firey shine. I've found a few places to re-Vulkem on the outside and to re-caulk on the inside, but she's much fresher now than last Thursday. We have BAD clearcoat loss and oxidizing on the street side mid panels and upper end pieces, but we'll just have to live with the swirls. Today she's cleaned up and looking pretty good ~G

I am thoroughly enjoying my Airstream this Thursday as I get it prepped for our trek to the Okanagan to lounge at the lake at Osoyoos in hot weather. I'm just installing the LED marker lights I picked up this week, then a bit of tweaking of the 57 TV so my wife will be comfy driving it for 5 hours each way, and we are all set.

So NEXT Thursday I won't be able to respond because I'll be a sunburned crispy on the beach. That, of course, after fending off all the Save the Whales folks who, every time I lay down on the beach, they come running with buckets of water and wet towels to shroud me and then try to throw me back in to the water. I just HAVE to do something about this weight I've put on.
