My oh my, this thread has grown a bit since I last posted to it!

If its ok to go "off topic", then I will say it is Tuesday and I love to look out my window in the morning at my polished Bambi II while drinking my first cup of coffee and surfing airforums. The sun is just coming up over the horizon and reflecting rays of light in all directions off my Airstream.

It's thursday and the start of a holiday weekend. The trailer is packed and off we go! Cool mountain air, flyfishing and kicking back.

My flyfishing club rents a lake every year on this weekend for 4/5 days. It's a great trip. C U at the lake Brad....

because she's always ready to head out on the road for a trip even though we let work and doctor schedules and 100 imagined necessities get in the way. Me thinks she is a better and more committed traveler than we are!

Cuz Its Now a Cottage!

Yes its Thursday and we love our Airstream... cuz its becoming a portable cottage now, now that we have the makings of a dock to bring along with us!

Airstream + boat + portable dock = portable low cost cottage without the taxes and maintenance... no no wait.. the AS wasn't low cost!

It's Thursday, and i like my airstream because......

We brought Maxwell home, dewinterized him and "Look Ma, no leaks!!!!" Such a good boy ~ WooHoo, that's always nice!

Tomorrow we head out for a "not-a-rally" outing with about 8 fellow Airstreamers, heading to the hills! We got snow last night down to 7000 feet, we will be at 9000+/- but it's supposed to be highs in the 50's...so, where are those flannel sheets?

She has new curtains and we are camping this weekend. This is our first official outing since the move from Colorado to Maryland. We will be spending weekends on the South Branch of the Potomac River in WV, fishing and working on Gert.

Its Thursday and ...

We love our Airstream! Just finished packing groceries in and now for some last minute errands....then we're heading north for a long weekend to our favorite waterfront campsite to kayak, fish, hike, and bike!! For sure we'll be lucky to hit 65 degrees up there, no doubt the furnace will be running at night! Happy Memorial weekend!

Happy Memorial Day weekend to each of you!

MIMI's out grocery shopping for the weekend and this evening we plan on heading up the mountain to Highland Haven Airstream Park. Our Floridian friends should have all arrived by now for their annual Summer on the mountain and we can't wait to see how everyone 'Wintered'. We hope all of you have a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend. Drive safely and watch out for the other guy.
HAPPY TRAILS ONE AND ALL

Once again I am actually posting to this thread on Thursday. It's Thursday...

because tomorrow afternoon we head south to St. George Island, FL to camp at the beach for the Memorial Day Weekend! Got a new satellite dish should it rain us in and a new screened enclosure for the picnic table so we can eat and sit out if there are bugs, a pair of Featherstone Flamingos to go by the awning, and plenty of ice for the blender! Looks like a nice weekend in the making. According to The Weather Channel we should have sun and surf all weekend, and we should be able to hear the waves from our camp site. It just doesn't get any better...unless maybe if we were going to be there for a whole week!

The Twink came home last week. I brought him home all by myself and I'm so proud. No men anywhere. I'll be sanding and caulking seams and cleaning in anticipation of Bob coming home after 2 1/2 months in Michigan. He's going to paint the mid stripe metallic bronze and we're putting in the new orange vinyl inserts. Now after all that feminists stuff up front, I will say that Bob will be necessary to get the Argosy back on the lake property. HE CAN BACK A TRAILER. It's some kind of testosterone skill I'm certain. I bought him his own LCD with ear phones for the front of the trailer so he won't have to watch all those Andy and Barney DVD's. He doesn't know it yet, so he should really be happy. It will be good to have both the boys home for a while.

Looks like Glacier What a grand place to be. Gypsy is happy gazing out on her pond this Thursday. Not as grand, but homey. ~G

It is Thursday once again and I still like my Airstream because...last weekend she took us to St. George Island, FL for Memorial Day Weekend and a nice long weekend by the Gulf. (No damage to her this trip I'm proud to say!) We had the freshest shrimp and clear skies. There were bugs but lots of Deep Woods Off to go around and plenty of sun screen. No burns on us! We had a great time grilling and chilling and can't wait for our next camping trip. Sad that it has to wait for another month, but there are chores around the house that have to be done.

We did, BTW, see more Airstreams in the campground than we have ever seen outside of a rally or Ft. Wilderness. While doing a cursory setup at 3:00 in the morning, a silver glint across the street caught my eye: it was another Safari. I was the longest single axle SE they make. The next night about 9:00 an International CCD came in and camped for the night two spaces down from the one across the street. I told my wife we were in Airstream Alley!

Well, I'll just have to be content until we head down to Ft. Wilderness for the 4th. Can't wait.
