it's so aesthetically pleasing. It's a work of art that lifts my spirits every time I look its way. I need it and it needs me. We both need to get out and play from time to time and in our own way we take care of each other. I am actually developing a little mechanical aptitude and I am also learning how to be a little bit more patient. How good is that?

True works of art stir the soul and make you think. I now have a true work of art.

Thanks for the thread.

Going inside is like a trip back to the womb, all safe and snug as a bug in a rug. But without the umbilical cord and it doesn't scream when you come out.

hi dmaiden...

no umbilical cord?
mine is yellow and 30amp

and she always screams when i come out...
"hurry back, lets go, lets go"

ok new tires, centermatics AND shinny stainless doors for the furnace and water heater...

like adding lip gloss or eyeliner....

one side is freshly waxed as well...

so i think she might be smiling...

as her 30,000+ mile brake still have pads with >80% left....

cool.

cheers

I LOVE my airstream everday, but

THIS Thursday LOVE my airstream because...

...She's teaching me and my little family what life is all about; living, loving, and the great outdoors. In the short time we have had her, she's opened up so many new doors for us - new friends, new places, and sooooo much new knowledge.

I like my Airstream and yours too...

I was a passenger heading down I-75 with hunting buddies today.
For a brief moment we were alongside and then passing a Safari.
Like a child in the back seat, I waved to the driver as we passed by.
He may have not known why a stranger was waving; but I did.

It is Thursday... thinking about our Airstream...

It is Thursday! Time to think about our sweet little Bambi! She is parked out in the garage waiting forher next trip knowing it will be awhile... winter has arrived here in California northland. We reassure her that she will get out of the garage... and she needs to rest up for the next adventure! But rest assured little Tardis ~ we you!

Its Thursday and I like the Airstream because...

1. Its fun to look at out my window as it hibernates in the backyard--I am reminded of all our fun trips! Counting down til our next trip to NOLA in April and already planning Michigan trips for next summer....

2. Its fun to go in and work with my hubby as the dinette evolves from paper and measurements to plywood and glue...

3. We have the latest issue of Airstream Life to look at I love the piece on the Romani vardos!! Great issue!

I like my airstream because.... Since there is no kitchen or bathroom or water tanks or waterlines... I don't have to worry about winterizing this year. Next year I expect it to be different though.

Yosemite here I come

It's Thanksgiving Thursday and I like my Airstream because I'm sitting in it here in Yosemite National Park, cooking Turkey with all the fixins.

Well, I'm a week early, but since I will have no internet connection in Yosemite, I'm posting this now!

Thursday Thoughts

We love our AS everyday, but today we have the anticipation of picking it up tomorrow with a new teak look floor. Then, next Thursday we'll have our first Thanksgiving in it in Carpenteria.

Because....

Even though I'm at work, it's my desktop photo so I can still look at it and enjoy it - all shiney, parked next to the beach at Refugio....

I'll be at about 4000' in the Northern Sierras with it next Thursday, and I'm sure I'll like it then too. Especially if I get my plumbing leak fixed.

Thursday....

It is Thursday and I my Airstream! She is sitting quietly in her little space in the garage waiting for the next journey. Winter has definitely arrived here and we are happy she is out of the weather! It will be awhile before we get to travel again, other matters press... but time seems to fly by and we will be traveling sooner than we think!

I like my pending Airstream because…
It floats peacefully in the womb of cyber-space as it bides its time…
Until the labor and contractions begin…
In its mother in Jackson Center.
So far it’s been a labor of love.
I had my right eye cataract surgery this morning…
Now await post-op visit in a.m. that all is well.
Then on to stimulating the contractions…
And placing the build (gestation) order with the factory.
(I wonder if they gave me something in that I.V.?)
I’ll let you know when I pass out the cigars!
