It's a good thing it's Wednesday and not Thursday as I write this because just at this moment my Airstream and I are not on speaking terms, but by Thursday we'll have made up. As I was winterizing and draining the drain from the fresh water tank it decided to snap off up inside the trailer floor where it comes through. Good thing there was no one around at the time ..... I had to walk away and let things stew for a couple of days. I knew this was going to be a chore so today took a look to figure out what's involved and it looks as though the removal of the entire gaucho area is the only way to do this properly. Dang - now I have a project for the winter and I was thinking I'd be puttering around the shop, half bored, and thinking up make-work projects while reading good travel planning books in front of the fireplace. And now I won't be able to do those little projects around the house my wife was thinking I could tackle with all my spare time . Good thing she doesn't read these.

Hi Paula -

The fishing wasn't so great, but not because there were no fish! We could see them swimming around in the lake watching us, they even stole some of our bait. We're just not very good fisher-people yet. We need lots more practice. We all had a great time trying, however, and Taylor was so happy when she could free the lucky worms that didn't become fish food. Can't wait for the next time!

Smile Its Thursday and I like the Airstream because...

I'm finally getting the dinette I've wanted for so long!! The carpet is gone from the living room. The gaucho is disconnected and ready to be reupholstered. The dinette plans are on paper and we're moving forward!! It will be so nice to sit at the dinette table with my coffee!! Even if its in the back yard in the dead of winter

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because...

the speakers run all the way through it, that way when I'm dancing around I get good sound no matter where I end up...

that & the pergo floor is just slippery enough for me to "skate" from room to room in my socks....

AND it's got some great tinted windows, so nobody can see any of this sillyness.

It's Thursday, and I like my Airstream:

It's Thursday and my Airstream loves me because the polishing starts Saturday after a long hot summer and his owner has been talking about it for months It's going to get started. All that failing clear coat gets stripped off Saturday.

Sometimes you just gotta SHOW your Airstream that you like it instead of just telling it so. The image below is the 12 x 36' pad I had put in for the Airstream to sit on when it's home. No more sinkin' into and stickin' in the red clay mud muck MESS when the winter monsoon season comes.

because it's 4 PM and I've managed to dig half way to the door of the Sovereign. No chance of getting to the Caravel or even turning right to the Overlander. Gotta get the bed installed in case I need the Big Gal for a business trip next week!

and there's still 50 feet of driveway behind me, which hasn't been touched (yet).

BALRGN, love your idea to just attach a page to your signature for salvaged parts. I'll do that next time. And, yes, spring is coming. True to Colorado, it will be here on Saturday--high 60s. Never a dull moment, as they say.

Sorry Roger - looking at your weather, you might not want to read the rest of my post.

It's Thursday and I love my airstream because I'm headed for the beach! Sunshine here we come! (Beverly Beach III Rally) Getting a late start due to a slight power issue - fortunately turned out to be a fuse. We're loading up and on our way

Thursday & Airstream is prepping to judge.

The Airstream cooked & won, but this weekend it is time to judge.

Headed to Milledgeville, GA for their annual Sweetwater Festival & BBQ cookoff.

We like our Airstream because it will be a lot more fun than staying at the local Hol. Inn.

"It's a tough job but someone has to do it". First spoken by a BBQ judge.

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because...

Sparky gave us a wonderful trip to Beverly Beach last weekend, complete with great weather, fantastic people, and a safe journey. Now she's settled in for the winter, but I still get to smile each time I pull into the driveway and see her.

Congradulations on the September win and good luck this week end. Wish I could drop by but I have a birthday party and Cub Scout duties to attend to. This weekend looks like would be real great weather for some of that award winning chili!
