it's thursday and I like my AS because it gave us so much good souvenirs, and today we are going to the last Atlantic unit Rally in Prince Edward Island, and it might be the last trip... except if i find a way to go south that winter...
We had some great time this summer, met/saw a lot of airstream on the road...
we'll miss that ...but we do work on a full-time project.
See ya down the road...

... because I got my truck stuck in the pasture and the Airstream's not.
Oh, the shame, I had to get pulled out by my neighbor's 4wd Chevy. He said, "Just like a Dodge."
And then he pulled it out of 4wd, and the whole truck clanked and shuddered, and I thought, "Just like an old Chevy."

It's Thursday and I Love my Airstream....
Ok this one is from my wife...
"I love my Airstream because it's picture is on my computer wallpaper and whenever I close programs, the view of it takes me away to future travelling (with my unbelieveable husband)"
Ok so I editted that.
I love our Airstream, but I wish the heck it would get off the assembly line and up here to Canada!!!! Spring time can never come soon enough now

Thursday...
We love the Airstream because we had the most restful and successful BBQ competition ever. First time at a cook-off for the AS and we pulled a 1st in Shoulder and 2nd in Ribs. $1,750.00 prize money!!. Non-paying catagories were 2nd place Chicken and 3rd in Chili. Forgot to bring the camera today so photos will have to wait. As you can imagine, there were big time smiles on our faces on the way home.

Thursday
Even though I'm not camping in it now, I have the memories of family camping times in the past, and the anticipation of upcoming trips planned in the near future. I also have the enjoyment of occasionally upgrading those small items that get the G.T. nearer to "perfection".

Too much good food - perhaps a "rally"?
Maybe it would be worth it to have a Rally WHEREVER you are going to be cooking!
Congratulations.

It's Thursday...
And I love my Airstream because it has so many good memories of so many friends and nice place. And because I know if my feet get to itching I can be moving in an hour or so to more new places.

I'm Cheating.....
It's THURSDAY where you are (but I'm already in FRIDAY) but I still love my Airstream. Wife opened her up and sat inside her yesterday (thursday) and told me she was excited about the upcoming rally, humm that was 30 minutes ago - what day is it?????????? I got to talk with her by phone and it was FRIDAY where I am and THURSDAY where she was. Well, time will pass and I'll be back to work on the Caravel, the time at sea gives me plenty of time to research what I need to do and how to do it, as long as the satellite link is up.

Well, another Thursday and time to once again sing praises...
I am [in love] with my husband... and of course, my Airstream! Today I finished cleaning everything in our Bambi and tomorrow begins the packing for our little week+ long trip to Yosemite! Looking forward to our journey and time in the park!

Thursday. More musing on Airstreams
Where is everybody? Must be a coolness in the air. Oh yeah, diesel went down 35 cents since last Thursday.
Random thoughts;
Braves won't be in the post season but we will find out how the Airstream likes sweater weather.
75 degrees this Sept. afternoon in central Georgia. Not a cloud in the sky.
The blue sky looks nice reflecting in the Airstream tinted windows.
I have a date this weekend with Mrs. P, the AS & the farm. Maybe we will get lucky and it will be the first weekend without AC. Bet you thought I was going somewhere else with that.
Might take an interior photo for the Sept. photo contest and the big $$ prize.
We do love those AS dollars. Maybe some more beginner's luck.
It dates back to '86 but we saw Neil Simon's Broadway Bound last night. If you enjoy stage productions and haven't seen this one... try to catch it. Much more than Simon's usual comedy routines. We discussed three generations living in the same house all the way home. There is an AS connection here, you just have to find it.
Ok... a real airstream moment.
Yesterday, a long-time Airstreamer and our former county extension agent (he has been retired for over 20 yrs.) stopped by needing some trailer assistance. His 2nd AS is a 79 excella and I invited him to step-in see our "new" 1984 International. We sat and talked airstreams for a few minutes and he mentioned that there were very few states they had not visited with their Airstreams. Due to age and health they cannot travel like they have in the past but you could see and hear the joy of all those airstream miles in the few trips he described.
I love our Airstream for bringing us a new friend. Someone we should have known but never had a connection.

I love it because I took a power nap in it this afternoon up at Highland Haven Airstream Park in Virginia while waiting for the concrete truck to arrive. We poured a new WIFI tower footing in hopes the new antenna will give us better coverage thoughout the park. Temps were in the low forties last night at HH. There's a definite taste of Fall in the air in the Virginia highlands.

Because the better half and I are just about over the flu, the GT and TV are packed, the Air Forum numbers are on the coach and we're heading off to the 2nd annual Northern Illinois Forum Rally tomorrow morning. Autumn Gathering North, Central Illinois
The weather might be funky but I know the old girl will keep us warm and dry.
Tom.
Oh Yea. The Jagermeister cough syrup won't hurt either.

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because...Saturday I take her back to the dealer to have awnings installed on the roadside and tail end. That should help keep her cool on our trip to Florida next month and all the trips we have planned next year.
