. . .because Saturday night we'll pack out with grandsons 5 and 8 to overnight camp in Gypsy just a few hundred yards from our house. . .full moon over the pond. . .Halloween stories to read for bedtime! Er. . .maybe we better pass on the spooky stories if we want any sleep. Campfire and marshmallows, listen for the fish splash. . .can't wait! ~Grandma Georgia

It's Thursday, and I like my Airstream because . . . .
The new vintage style awning from VTS has been shipped, my 12V oulet now works, my ceiling vent fans work and I didn't have to sacrifice my original Hehr vents, and by Monday I'll have a new Sealand Traveler Lite toilet. YES!!!
because tomorrow we're taking out the old Overlander for a weekend by the Pacific Ocean. The first time since my Texas trip in July. Geez, I hope I remember how to hook it up...
We spent our first night in her. We went to the LBL mini Rally and had a great time meeting some neat forum folks. She is far from finished, but should give us many years of fun and work. I can't wait to take her out again.

It is Thursday! And I my Bambi! Last night and today we had the first rain of the season... a pretty good soaking rain! And.... (drum roll here...) it was the first time since the restoration that our Bambi has been out in the weather! Fingers crossed... she seems nice and dry! No leaks that we have found!
We were feeling a bit about how she would do... but so far so good! Next week we will be getting her ready for the road ~ down to Lake San Antonio! Then, north to Beverly Beach!
Hubby has been working on the tow vehicle... removed the bumper, new hitch receiver, all new bolts, painted the bumper, and new light for the license plate! Our little 1968 Ford 4 X 4 is ready to pull the Tardis!
I know its not really fair since it was 1am PST when I woke up in EST.
It is nice to log on and have some Airstream company when you can't sleep, even if it is just reading old threads.
And I was wondering if there are more Airstreams than kids. Seems there are unlimited photos of Airstreams but Airstreams kids are hard to find.
Thanks AS forum, for being there while the coffee is brewing and everyone else seems to be sound asleep.

Well it really is Thursday and I like my Airstream cause I can't wait to visit it (its at a storage place near us) so I can think of things to improve it. I look forward to taking her(?) out on our first trip - probably a quick weekend trip to Front Royal or some other nearby place to "get our feet wet." Who knows, maybe we will run into (not literally of course) a forum member.
We just got back from our maiden voyage, 10 days down in the Shawnee Nat'l Forest... it was so luxurious! We were accustomed to our little Aliner popup, which is really just a step up from a tent... and now THIS! Took warm showers & made chili... hung out beneath the awning and took turns sleeping in the different areas. Watched the leaves fall & went persimmon hunting. Dreamy! We were so comfortable! We love our Airstream!!!
empresley~our little one had the best time of us all.. another Airstream kid!!

Nice photo flutterbee. I know my two boys (6& 9) love camping in our Airstream. So does our cocker spaniel...so does my wife....so does her husband!
This week I like my Airstream because she's taking a rest this week end, but next week end she will be taking the family to Disney World to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! We all can't wait for another trip to our favorite place on earth!

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because I'm getting things ready for next week's NorCal Rally..cleaned the slipcovers of the bed, and will start decluttering the dinette area..I've found that I have extra plastic containers I've stored that I probably don't really need..do any of you find you have too much stuff that you store in your a/s????
Also, I'm looking to buy some red paint to do the numbers on the front of the Safari..any suggestions on brands of paint??
Properly winterized our Airstream is being snowed on at this very moment, yes the leaves are still on the trees, haven't turned colors yet, but we live in Michigan!
Meanwhile I am planning the new flooring and colors for the dinette upholstery...counting my blessings lets see Tigers are doing well (knock wood), its hockey season (yippee), family is healthy and happy!, oh yeah lots to look forward to on the forum until camping next spring!
