It's Thursday and I love my Airstream because it's packed and ready to go to it's first race with us in NH...Two days of racing and "streamin"...Ya gotta love it!!
We just signed up for Beverly Beach III and know it will be a great time! Lots of folks we enjoy hanging out with have signed up too! Besides Janet and "Janet's husband" really know how to host a great forum rally!
I signed up for my first rally with the Norcal group and I finally heard from the local Unit and the adventure of group camping has begun. After twenty years of solo off road boondocking this is gonna be a heck of a change.

we are here on earth to fart around. don't let anybody tell you any different. k.v.
It lets me exist in the pages of a calendar
With a new scene for each week,
Or day,
Or hour.
In the morning, I awaken to see a shimmering mountain stream,
Or sandstone bluffs,
Or golden leaved aspens,
Or a saguaro cactus a hundred years old with a nest of cactus wrens.
At night I listen to water slipping over polished stones,
Or hear waves crashing,
Or feel rain drumming on the polished aluminum skin that shelters me,
It conveys me to scenic places,
And captivates me with its quirky beauty.
Well, I'm not going to outdo Ken this week (good post, got Karma), but I love my Airstream because I'm moving back into a HOUSE and won't have to live in what I work in.
This means I can move all the JUNK in the Airstream and Argosy into the house. (When I've gone camping, I've moved a bunch of stuff into the Argosy, and when I get back, I load it back aboard. It'll be NICE not having to do that.)
You guys don't know what a tangled mess my PC system has become in the Airstream. I do product support for a company that makes handheld computer software. I have two PCs, a laptop, and twenty handhelds and smart phones here.
I'm going to have a HOME OFFICE. Get a couple of hundred pounds of gear out of Betsy, and she'll be ready to GO CAMPING.
And YIKES, I'll even have to winterize them for the first time since I've owned them. (I'm moving to Madison, GA, 50 miles east of Atlanta. Good bye hurricanes. You've rocked me, but you've never reached me.)

I like my Airstream because she is back home after the body repairs at the factory in Jackson Center. Nice folks, but they need to work on getting their act together...I was locked out when I got there and it took two hours to get someone there and find the right master key to let me in. Oh yeah, it was 96 degrees inside when I did get in at 9:00 PM!
But she is back home safe and sound and ready for the next adventure that looms on the horizon in a couple of weeks.
