...because flying is terrible!

Yearrggghhhh. Security lines. Almost no liquids. The scanners. Sitting in terminals for hours on end. Paying ridiculous prices for mediocre food...and that's in the terminal; in the air it's even worse! Having to worry about getting everything home safely in a bag. Limited legroom. Waiting in line for the bathroom. Getting assigned to seats in two different rows (fortunately the airline was able to get us closer, then by switching with another passenger we were able to sit together).

Then there's hotels - bathroom setups that don't make sense. Keycards that stop working. Water that tastes awful, and I'm usually not picky about water.

If you can't tell, I missed our Airstream on our recent trip to Disneyland.

Because how can you hate something that you personally named? That would be no different from hating a child or a pet!

It's Thursday, and I LOVE my Airstream!

Can't quite see why loving my Airstream is confined to a Thursday! I live in a 31ft Sovereign, Love it all the time and have a little Caravel for changing the view out of the front window!

Off this weekend a 50 mile trip to camp with another Airstream and do some fixings - leaks and a new IntelliPower.
It's still a huge adventure even when it's work! I am the only person in the UK doing this and I Love it! I had a career as a photographer and everyone was always grateful because they thought I was doing them a favour. Half the time I had to remind people that I got paid to do it.
I must crave the instant gratification because, even though it can be a grapple making an Airstream work in the UK, I love the challenge, just don't tell my customers that I'd do it for nothng!

It's another day in paradise, I'm living the dream,

...and I Love my Airstream!

I know you must be so excited!! Just heard from Tim Maxwell at Airstream yesterday and ours is supposed to be coming off the production line on Valentine's Day! From there it will take 7-10 days to arrive at our dealership in Ft. Myers, FL. Can't come quick enough!!

We went to Canopener in January.
We camped at the North Abutment last weekend.
We will camp almost every week/weekend from now until the "fall back" time change in November.
It's on like a chicken bone.
Chompin' at the bit.
Rarin' to go.
So excited I'm about to bust wide open.
I'n like a kid at Christmas Eve waiting for Santa Claus.

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because...

...it's already hitched up and ready to roll out to the coast as soon as I get home from work tomorrow afternoon - sunset over the ocean, here we come!
