Amen to that. Either be a jack of all trades, or have really deep pockets.

It's Thursday, and I Like My Airstream Because...

It has brought us to our winter haven
Where we sit among citrus, and mesquite, and palm trees.
Where we look forward to a rally at Thanksgiving
And another at New Years.
We wouldn't be here if our Airstream hadn't brought us two years ago.

This Thursday I like my Airstream mainly because it is an Airstream. There is nothing like them.

....because I'm going to remove the batteries to bring home to the chargers this weekend and sit in it for a while in the storage yard pretending I'm camping - and I don't care if that's crazy :-)

...because I THOUGHT our last trip for the season was our trip to Tulsa for Oktoberfest a month ago . We decided today to take Midge with us to Nebraska for Thanksgiving. I am so excited! We will have our sweet little airstream to run away to instead of shacking up in my brothers house with 20 other "close" family members! I think dear husband is more relieved than I am!

Not crazy, just a sign of it must be a comfortable place. We came home from two weeks out and pulling into the driveway we both felt it was a great trip and nice to be home, but after two days of cleanup she said "It's ready to go again." Even tho it is ice free here we still stick to using it only in best seasons, and it sits too long between to not pay attention to batteries. My next project will be to install an outlet near the batteries for trickle chargers. I don't like the idea of pulling batteries or leaving on converter/charger.

... because it's loaded up, parked at the curb in front of our house and ready to roll out to the LBJ National Grasslands for a long holiday weekend of boondocking under the full moon with the Heart of Texas Camping Unit of the WBCCI tomorrow afternoon!
