It is Thursday and we like our Airstream because enables us to enjoy the natural beauty of Cloudland Canyon State Park (Georgia). Plus she kept us dry in the rain last night.

It's Thursday. I'm sitting in the big conference room waiting for my 9:00 meeting to start. Then off to my next location for meetings through 5:00 - then another long 4-day weekend out of the pin-striped suit and in to the Tin Goat!!! The anticipation is half the fun!!!! God I love my Airstream !!!!! :-)

By the way, I really miss 2air....anyone keeping in touch??

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because ... I can enjoy the beautiful view of the lake and woods from my rear panoramic windows. We're backed close to the edge of the lake and it almost feels like we're floating IN the water.

Just went to the storage lot to fire up the fridge for a CAMPING WEEKEND!!!!!

So exciting to step in to the trailer and know by this time tomorrow I'll be connected at the campsite enjoying an adult beverage and a stogie by the fire with my DW and DH (dear hound - not to be confused with deer hound).

God I love my airstream and camping!!!

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because I can enjoy it even when I'm working like today. It serves as my summer home in July and August when I work half of each week away from home. I work for the Boston Symphony Orchestra and spend the first 3 days of each week at Symphony Hall in Boston and the rest of the week at Tanglewood, the BSO's summer festival in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. I camp at Prospect Lake Park, a quite little place on a lake in the southwest corner of Massachusetts. The Airstream is far smaller but far better than the apartment I rented for the first 15 seasons out here. Compact living suits me well. Viva la Airstream!

It is Thursday and I like my Airstream because it is just waiting. Tuesday the wait will be over and we will head for Corinth Recreation Area in the Bankhead National Forest near Double Springs, AL.

What an awesome way to spend the summer. What's your instrument?

Also, it's Friday and I would love my AS a lot more if I knew if the new flooring had gone in.

My former instrument is trumpet, but never as a professional musician. My love of music and my training in finance is what led to my current role with the BSO as Chief Financial Officer. Thanks for asking. My question back to you is about how you manage to tow a 34' AS with a Honda Odyssey, as shown in your profile. That's impressive. Was this perhaps magic performed by the AS towing expert in Windsor, Ontario who I've heard so much about?

The 1984 34' weighs considerably less than a modern 25' model - it comes in (empty) at just over 6200lbs with a tongue weight of 625lbs before weight distribution. Even fully loaded it's less than 7500lbs.

The Odyssey is an eight person vehicle, with a high carrying capacity - total payload is about 1400lbs. Modern minivans exceed the specs of many 1/2 trucks. With good weight distribution, the Odyssey gives us a margin of just over 900lbs for people, gas and provisions - that's ample, we never go anywhere near the max. Add to this a wide wheel stance, a powerful 260hp engine and a transmission cooler and you end up with a very capable tow vehicle.

We don't carry generators, gas, a huge bbq or firewood - if we did the Honda wouldn't work half as well.

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because it's just as pleasant and cozy after living in it for a month as it was at the beginning of our trip. Hooray for a home away from home!
