It is Thursday and...
I signed up for my first rally with the Norcal group and I finally heard from the local Unit and the adventure of group camping has begun. After twenty years of solo off road boondocking this is gonna be a heck of a change.

Thursday's Song
It’s Thursday and I Love My Airstream Because...
It lets me exist in the pages of a calendar
With a new scene for each week,
Or day,
Or hour.
In the morning, I awaken to see a shimmering mountain stream,
Or sandstone bluffs,
Or golden leaved aspens,
Or a saguaro cactus a hundred years old with a nest of cactus wrens.
At night I listen to water slipping over polished stones,
Or hear waves crashing,
Or feel rain drumming on the polished aluminum skin that shelters me,
It conveys me to scenic places,
And captivates me with its quirky beauty.

Well, I'm not going to outdo Ken this week (good post, got Karma), but I love my Airstream because I'm moving back into a HOUSE and won't have to live in what I work in.
This means I can move all the JUNK in the Airstream and Argosy into the house. (When I've gone camping, I've moved a bunch of stuff into the Argosy, and when I get back, I load it back aboard. It'll be NICE not having to do that.)
You guys don't know what a tangled mess my PC system has become in the Airstream. I do product support for a company that makes handheld computer software. I have two PCs, a laptop, and twenty handhelds and smart phones here.
I'm going to have a HOME OFFICE. Get a couple of hundred pounds of gear out of Betsy, and she'll be ready to GO CAMPING.
And YIKES, I'll even have to winterize them for the first time since I've owned them. (I'm moving to Madison, GA, 50 miles east of Atlanta. Good bye hurricanes. You've rocked me, but you've never reached me.)

I like my Airstream because she is back home after the body repairs at the factory in Jackson Center. Nice folks, but they need to work on getting their act together...I was locked out when I got there and it took two hours to get someone there and find the right master key to let me in. Oh yeah, it was 96 degrees inside when I did get in at 9:00 PM!
But she is back home safe and sound and ready for the next adventure that looms on the horizon in a couple of weeks.

Its Thursday and I like the Airstream because...
Its raining but I'm smiling on the sunny side singing along with Satchmo on the Ipod, packing the trailer while my child is napping
happily anticipating a rally with the Metro-Detroit/Canada Airstream/Argosy folks!
Life is sweet on the Airstream side of the street!

It's Thursday, and I like my Airstream:
My goodness another Thursday already, It's just to hot to do much here. It's Thursday, and I like my Airstream because I'm dreaming of all the cold winter camping trips we are going to have. Hurry up fall and get here.

Are the numbers included in your membership or are they extra? Also, does the $70 include your local unit dues? I forgot these things and we are going to join this month.

Join NOW and you get 18 months of membership. Numbers are included and if your's is available they will give you that number - if not you can pick or they issue the next available. I would ask for new numbers even if yours are still good on your trailer and they can be spares (IF your number is still available). Sounds all to confusing - short answer - YES.
BTW - for this thread - Today (thursday) I'm going home to refinish my step - glad it's THURSDAY........

The $70 should include the local unit dues as $55 goes to WBCCI.

because today I'm making progress getting ready for RMVAC Rally!
What started out as a simple dent repair in a banana skin has turned into sanding and POR-15 on the front frame, new insulation, new propane tanks (nicely repainted from white to Zeppelinium), and some moderate polishing around the front end. It's good to see the reflection of the tanks in the shell. Wish the rest of the shell was that shinny. ( why don't we have an emoticon with a dirty face?--the polishing emoticon!)
Banana skins back on this weekend!

Hey Zep, that's a few dollars ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) worth of Nuvite under the tongue. AS looks great! Have fun at RMVAC - I missed out this year - on my way to Japan for a month. Rather be in Creede. Enjoy.
