Well it's actually Friday here and now... I like my Airstream because it's my home on wheels and wherever I go... There I am... Familiarity in the midst of strangeness. If I choose to stay for awhile there are none of the complexities of moving. I take my house, my dog and my employment with me.

and the Strength of the Pack is the Wolf...
It is Thursday and I like my Airstream because it is right in my backyard, nestled in the bamboo, leaves rippling in the breeze as I sit in the shade of my awning at the picnic table tapping away at my computer. I like my Airstream so much that I have been staying in it instead of my house, along with my two dogs and two cats who have recently learned how much fun it is in there and come tap gently on the door to be let in and pick their favorite spots to stretch out.
A feral cat from the neighborhood decided to have her five black kittens in my backyard and now one of them has decided the Airstream is much more fun than surviving in the wilds and moved in with us. She is so tiny and I don't know where she goes, but she disappears for hours into some under bin I think beneath the bed. Then there is a tiny meow and out she comes like the Queen of Sheeba for a little food and then a big stretch and yawn, goes to sleep on my lap.
Yes, it is Thursday and I love my AS but it is not limited to one day of the week. Nice to know it is ready when I am, don't have to worry about bilge pumps, docklines, winds, sun aging as it is next to the house under cover. Designer probably thought it was only for fun but being self contained, it is also insurance for storms. Tank is full of gas and gives us about 500 mile range to move out of harms way.
Are you planning on following the sun to the Can Opener Rally this year?
