Congrats too y'all and safe camping... We also bought ours from Nancy who's husband past away as well and had too many memories sooo she put it up for sale and we were very blessed to get Airstream Excella 500 Landyacht 31' at the right time. Here she is & we named Airstream "NANCY! "

I'm almost the big 50 this summer and its been a Dream of mine to own one since i was a child and for the past few years I've been showing my wife airstreams an so we now own one. I never thought I would say this but Living The Dream... We own a Small business and a American Icon a Airstream! With God first all things possible!!!

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because I'll be taking it out tomorrow for a long weekend.
The first time in a number of years! Been in storage for too long. Gleefully took it out, had it cleaned/inspected/new baubles purchased... Oh so excited!!!

Nope, not original. It originally had the humdrum beige vinyl flooring, which was more recently replaced with this black and white flooring.

Because we are preparing the nest. We took the first step.
Traded in the Honda last Saturday for a Tundra. I now am driving Big Red to work. Our kids think we have lost it completely!
Saving those pennies in the Piggy Bank for our Airstream now.

May 22nd/14-- our first night in our "home" for this year. What a great sleep :-)
I de-winterized and all pipes and fittings are as expected. Had the electric water heater quit last fall so I bought a new element only to find that the switch had over heated and burnt. I got a new switch for $6.00 and we are good to go.
Yup, love my Air Stream. Love Thursday because it means only one more day to work before the weekend.

besides providing a great vacation recently for us...parked at my house, it served as a little appartment for my dad and step mom this week here in birmingham all week as they visited because they wanted to watch SEC baseball champ games this week...they got to roll in late, have a place to crash, and not all up our grill and visa versa  - so my airstream is like great extra square footage for our family visiting
