Mistake on Poll set up.
After starting the above poll I realized that I did not set it up correctly because there is no way to put the number of stays at each of the options listed. There doesn't seem to be a way to Edit the poll once it is set up soooo sorry for the confusion.
The poll question would have been better stated as
"At which of the following do you stay over night more often?

In twenty-nine years of RVing, I have never utilized anything other than a designated campground unless it was another venue arranged by a Caravan or Rally leader. I much prefer the atmosphere of even a less than desirable campground.

I suppose I would consider a truck stop or a Mall-Wart in an emergency, or maybe if I was trying to cover a lot of miles and needed a place to sleep, or didn't want to inconvenience long-term campers by arriving or departing inside quiet hours. (Boy, I sure do wish that some people would show the same courtesy, especially those really big RV's with the "power everything" options. When one of those tries to make an "early morning start" it sounds like a construction site.

Where we go, there are very VERY few Walmarts, big truck stops and/or Cracker Barrels, but there are millions of acres of BLM and NFS land. Do the latter lands count as "other"?

If trying to put down some miles I usually just hit a rest area,and park as far away as possible from the big rigs,if time doesn`t matter it`s a campground.Dave

We have stayed at Cracker Barrel a couple times when traveling real late in the evening while traveling a long distance. We always try to at least purchase a meal at their restaurant. The problem with many campgrounds and parks is that one must arrive by 5:00 PM which makes it difficult when traveling to a distant destination to be able to stop that early. If we have a choice, we always prefer parks, national forest or Corps of Engineers campgrounds.

When in transit, I frequently use rest areas, truck stops, and on one occasion a Walmart. If all you need is a safe place to park your rig convenient to the route these places are hard to beat. Walmarts are my least favored though.

We also prefer even a not-so-lovely campground, with electricity and showers, to parking lots anywhere, which we have used only a few times in 7 years. Passport America sites are our go-to for overnight stops.

You just described our other.

We've never stayed at any of the places listed and are rarely in a campground.
