Question 34' True Length?

Hello,

We just bought a 1984 34' International triple axle. We haven't seen it yet because it's located 1,200 miles from us in OK. We live in Utah and have quite a bit of the DWS during the winter months (dreaded white stuff). We're picking it up mid March and hopefully the weather will be nice.

How long is the total length including the tongue? Also does anyone know how many feet is it from the back tire to the bumper?

I know it's a little late to worry about such minor details like this. We're just wondering if it will scrape when we back it in the driveway.

Thank You,

Marie

I think that the 34' trailers are actually 34' 10" bumper to tongue. I confess that I have not measured mine personally. That is, however, what I recall... I don't know what the overhang is... and mine's in a barn for the winter that I don't have access to, so I can't measure it for you.

I thought my package was pretty popular at 19ft.

Where are all the Bambi owners?

Has everyone already upgraded? Gotta keep up you know!

Nope, I "downgraded" from a 25' to a 21'.

I put 24-25' on the poll, but I'm not 100% sure. My trailer measures 24'6" from the bumper to the hitch. When I bought it the owner had it advertised as 25', and I have some repair documents listing it as 24'. The title doesn't specify the length, but the vin # has 22 in it along with other #'s, and letters. It's a 1981 Excella 2, and has a narrow body at just over 7' wide. I'm taking it to the Airstream dealer in Denver to have a rock guard put on this spring, so I thought I'd ask them at that time. It really doesn't matter that much, but I'd like to know just out of curiosity. I'll try to place a pic at the bottom, but I am new at this. If anyone has any thoughts on the length of my trailer I'd appreciate it.
Thanks: Charlie

It's not the length of the airstream that makes for adventures it's how you use it.

Oh, I feel SOOOO inadequate now.....with only a little 23 footer....

Length is always such an issue, sometimes, even on the Airstream Forums!!

Maybe i should procure a Hummer H2 to pull the "Twinkasaurus" this summer... That way i could balance the scales, and truly make up for inadequacies in other departments!!!
