27 foot

When we were shopping I would only look at doubles (mr safety) I am not saying singles are unsafe I am saying that I pick 4 brakes and 4 tires every time over 2/2.
We are having "Spirit" restored to her original splender less the "Brady bunch head and the groovy 70s mod squad look. At present she is resting after "having her guts ripped out"
Will keeep you all posted when we begin the restoration...

I eagerly clicked on the poll.. to vote in the 34 foot slot, only to discover there wasn't one... huh?? true demographics would separate our right sized Airstreams from all you tiny ones..

32 foot question

I was looking at a farm equipment sale listing and noticed they have a 32 foot airstream fair condition listed. I was wondering what years did they make a 32 foot. and any information on what it might be. The auction is the same day as my daughters prom so I'm sure I will have to do some major jugling to make it to the auction. Just wanted to get any and all info prior to sale day.

Any help would be appriciated.

The 32' coaches don't show up in the weights and measures figures until the early to mid-1980s. See:

http://www.airstream.com/airstream/p.../weights-1.pdf

The length advertised in an auction bill may not be reliable, however, as the titling of travel trailers often will have mistakes in length as well as other data. Another source of confusion is that Airstream wasn't always consistent in practices of which direction to round lengths of its coaches. For instance, my 19' 3" Minuet 6.0 Metre is advertised as 20' and identified as 20' in the VIN; while my '64 Overlander is advertised as 26' while it measures 26' 8". About the only way of positively identifiying the coach's statistics is through its VIN.

Good luck with your investigation!

Kevin

Mine is a 1975 25' Trade Wind, but I added a foot to the rear, does that make it a 26?

Thanks overlander 64. I guess I'll just have to go check it out. Mainly I was wondering what era it could be from.

How long is our trailer?

6.0 metres - almost 20 feet.

Too long in a tight parking lot.
Not long enough on a rainy weekend trip.

I'll never understand the Argosy Minuet length labels - maybe Airstream was progressive - going metric ahead of their time.

How long is your A/S ?

Well in 2004 it started out as 25', but if I don't stop backing into "things" , it'll be a 19'.
Best,

You need to get of them Freightliner Crewcab 5th pullers for that trailer.
A bigger generator to run all the ac units.
