We camp at Lake Ouachita every year during spring break. Our favorite campsite so far is Tompkins Bend campground (camping here now), about 30 minutes west of Hot Springs. It's a well kept COE campground with lots of trees and most sites are waterfront or water view. Camp hosts are very nice. There is a boat ramp located within the campground. Lots to do in Hot Springs...unique shops, great restaurants, Gangster museum, bath houses and much more.

I stayed at Catherine's landing in November of 2013, was very nice, staff was great and spot was right on the lake-very enjoyable
