My vintage 69
caravel is my first and so far only TT that I have owned. But as a kid, my family would go camping from time to time in rented or borrowed pop-ups, spam cans, and even tents. Then there were the years I spent in cub-scouts/boy scouts camping too.
I don't really consider myself a first timer, but then again, I'm sure I still have much to learn. Indeed, I have learned much just fixing/repairing/refurbishing my '69.
There are several key areas that make up the body of knowledge an AS owner will acquire:
Camping
Towing
Rules of the Road
Electrical (AC/DC)
Plumbing
Metal working
Carpentry
AV/RF/Wi-Fi
Dealer antics
Fellow AS owners
Beverages
WBCCI culture and traditions
Cooking
Camping Partner Psychology
Tires
Tow Vehicle theology
Critter ingenuity
Places to go/avoid
Water conservation
Weather
Financial tricks
Laundry
That list is hardly exhaustive, but one can be a newbie in a few areas, expert in others, and still figuring out some.
