Ducted air

What is the feeling about the 2015 ducted air units? Is it worth it?

It's quieter, I wonder if some efficiency is lost in the routing.

Our travels (20 months on the road so far) keep us in moderate temperatures so we have only turned on the a/c as a routine maintenance check. There most probably are others who don't need it often, mostly boondock, or simply don't like the noise. Not much value to them.

There has already been a lengthy discussion about the new ducted air in this thread.

Since Ducted Air is only in the new 2015 models and since very few 2015 models have been made, it is difficult to get real world data yet.

So far it seems as if the new ducted air systems are a little quieter and much more efficient at distributing air.

I have the opposite view of dkottum. We live and travel in the Southwest. Air is not needed at the higher elevations but in the desert it is an absolute must have. I would bet that most of the airstreamers in the Southeast also feel the same way.
