The "original" Silver Hilton is a Steelhead fishing lodge located in northern British Columbia, on the Babine River.

So, logic would seem to dictate that a Flyfisher would want to stay in a "Silverhilton II".

We are gonna paint our Argosy black (we don't like the beige) and we're gonna call her "The Black Pearl" and she'll have a pirate flag flapping in the wind.

We call ours "Dharma" She is a 1970 Safari, so we are going for the era in name and decor. We can't wait to get started on our hippie girl.

In 1971, I was a brand new Kansas City police officer and assigned to Kansas City's east side. In those days there were still many trailer parks out there and many were constant problems. One "manager" at the Bunker Hill Trailer Park was an older lady (I was 23 so everyone was old-she was probably 40) and she ran her facility w/ an iron fist. She told me one time that all the girls that got a divorce got to keep the house--she said she not only kept the house, she TOOK the house!

Anyway, she was old, short, wide, gray, unstable, and named Turleen. It all kinda fits, doesn't it?

Robert E. Lee's horse, "Traveller".

In a note written to Markie Williams, who wanted to paint a portrait of the horse, Lee said of Traveller, "If I was an artist like you, I would draw a true picture of Traveller; representing his fine proportions, muscular figure, deep chest, short back, strong haunches, flat legs, small head, broad forehead, delicate ears, quick eye, small feet, and black mane and tail. Such a picture would inspire a poet, whose genius could then depict his worth, and describe his endurance of toil, hunger, thirst, heat and cold; and the dangers and suffering through which he has passed. He could dilate upon his sagacity and affection, and his invarible response to every wish of his rider. He might even imagine his thoughts through the long night-marches and days of the battle through which he has passed. But I am no artist Markie, and can therefore only say he is a Confederate grey."

I think Traveller is a good name for my Airstream. It is not exactly silver, its more of a Confederate Grey.
