Sounds good Sarge...

Recession???

We had one of the biggest crowds in this shows history yesterday.

Several dealers reported good sales.

We wrote up two Airstreams and one HyperLite Toy Hauler.

Big crowd here already this morning!

Gene, Wish we could be there to take in all the 'action'...sounds like you're having a good show!

Say Hi to the Ducks next door, and grab a few ribs down at the Rendezvous...gotta love those ribs!

Rivet Belated Photos

Due to vagrancies (mostly laziness) with the way my Mac version of PhotoShop handles the RAW files from my Sony Alpha, I am just getting photos from Saturday up tonight. I am also going to explain the tight camera angles here. These were all shot with a 50mm f1.4 Minolta Maxxum lens that let me work with the light that God and the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau provided rather than using a flash. (Although I still used the flash on my Alpha for a few) This made exposure consistent regardless of the distance from the camera, but really made shooting in tight spaces, especially inside, very difficult.

In the view from the rear of the trailers, the one in the white shirt at the table is Gene, Airhog1 in the flesh. The view with Michael’s “Caravan to Cairo” print is through the door of a Safari as is the view of the dinette with the bamboo flatware. There’s a view down the hall of the bedroom too. The guys from Airstream of Arkansas stage their properties as well as anyone on HGTV. You couldn’t walk in to any one of them and not want to own it.

I have also included a few views out the windows that will also make it into the “Windows on Wheels” contest. The photo of the SOB slideout next to the Flying Cloud, that is a huge gap for this show. I saw hard pieces, like fifth wheel hitches within ½” of another trailer. You could walk into box canyons of motorhomes and trailers and loose your way. Many times!

Currently munchin’ on some honey glazed roasted almonds and pecans from the show. Incredible smell when warm and almost sinful to eat. Good times for all.

More photos in subsequent posts.

Rivet Photos Volume 2

Is it just me, but couldn’t we attach more than 4 photos in the past? Maybe it is the 1600 pixel limit now.

Rivet 4th Attempt, New Browser

Attachments are really balky for some reason.

More, and finally a T@B and New Beetle near the front doors that generated a lot of interest. This was the smallest crowd I saw around them. However, I will say that the shots of the Airstreams with small crowds I posted were almost impossible to shoot. The crowd was all over them!

Finally, attachment upload success.
