I celebrated the 29th annivesary of my 39th birthday last March. Lynn is coming up on her 19th anniversary. Married 38 1/2 years, daughter 35, son 31, grandson 3 and a new grandson soon to arrive. The Airstream is 41. It's a '66 but born in October of '65. Now if I can just squeese all my wonderful family into our Tradewind we will be a real close family.
Neil.

Hi Airstreamers; I am 61, my lovely wife Margaret Kay is 64 and we both have opposite problems. She looks 50 + maybe a bit , and outperforms any 20 year old. Walks 5 miles a day rain/shine or snow. Works out one hour at the YMCA each morning, plus she takes a Fit and Fifties class, twice a week.
Every Saturday we ballroom dance.
Me, being 61 now, last year, I got for my birthday a stuffed chicken with coiled formed spring legs, and if you squeeze it's tail it plays a tune "You no spring chicken" How am I supposed to act? At my age I cannot sleep late. Get up at 3 Am and go to work.
My mind thinks that I am 25, so it drags my poor 61 year old body through 14 hour work days six days a week.
Two years ago, after 3 years of hard work I have finally finished restoration of our house, by myself. New 12'x24' porch.
New 15'x32' pond with waterfalls and fountains. Large garden, flowerbeds all around the house.
New custom built Greenhouse. Finished basement [almost].
And now, from ground up restoration on 1973 Argosy 26'.
New SS frame, new axles, new floor new Prodex insulation, new wiring and all new appliances. Last week I was hoping that my new Dexter axles would not show up, so that I could play a bit.
Fat chance, here they are looking at me, asking to be finish painted with Briner paint. Having two hernia surgeries behind me, I will have take them apart to do so. They are heavy, 5000 lbs axles with 12" brakes and 3500 lbs suspension. How can I convince my brain that I am 61 years old? The "You no spring chicken" tune does not help. Fused back, 2 years of Limes Disease, controlled High Blood pressure, worn out knees and number of aches and pains, and my brain still does not let me stay home on Saturday night. And to top it all off, so called Aluminitus has set in, and wonder if there is a cure for that. Is there any hope for me? I am confused, how old am I? Thanks, "Boatdoc"

Older women and younger men

Boatdoc, you can't be to bad off your wife likes younger men and you are the one. Stop all that self pity and get back to work.

at our recent Forums Rally we had a cross section of age groups from upper 20's to upper 60's, with lots of kids and dogs, (whose age you multiply by 7, I guess.)
But point is that we were a fun loving group of mixed ages, some married, some single, all Airstreamers sharing in the good time.

Our family adds up to 253 years young. I am counting the dogs ages in dog years, one of which is now 102.

I am 37 and my wife is 35. This is our first Airstream. The profile is not correct because my unit was not available to choose from. It is actually a 2007 27' front bed Safari LS Se and we love it.
