We found receipts from the Jackson center of the original owners for postcards.Among other thing. They purchased some alaska postcards as well. It got our minds wondering where our Airstream had traveled in it's previous life. To us it was pretty cool.

We found a calendar tucked away in the trunk from when the PO bought their new Ford P/U to tow the AS with, the dealer snapped a pic, created a calendar. Might try to return it to them yet.

Amazing how much crud and how effectively it can completely clog the water arreators.

What it means when you are ankle deep in water in the shower. It wasn't a clogged drain in my case.

How cool it felt to get a gag T-shirt with an Airstream theme on it.

When pepople come up to your campsite and ask for a peek thru the door.

What a sinking feeling it is to be on your campsite and discover 3 bad tires. AAAARRRGGHH.

After you got it home????

I purchased my 1964 Overlander Land Yacht International from an individual in Mendota Illinois in 1995. The coach was then towed back to my home near Platteville, Wisconsin. Later that year, I was towing the coach home to my family farm in far Southern Illinois when I stopped to see an old friend of the family. The first thing he said when he walked out of his home was "when did you buy mom and dad's Airstream?" That was a revelation as the coach had seemed familiar but it hadn't dawned on me why - - now I knew - - it was the coach that our family friends had owned when they invited me on my first camping trip when I was 5 years old and the Airstream was brand new.

I found name badges from the previous owners to Port O' Call, and a small saucepan.

After towing my Airstream home the seller's home in Indianapolis I was laying on the bed dreaming about my future travel plans when I noticed that the vent over the bed had the most clear cover I'd ever seen. That's when I realized it was missing. It's a good thing I found out before it rained.

We found an old stack of traveler's checks from the 1980s, a hat, anti-depressants... and, of course, more projects than anticipated .

The water heater did not work on propane. Improperly assembled by Atwood. Worked when check at dealer.

Autographed photos of Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton. And the aluminum tanks were 40lb instead of the 30lb listed in the manual. Best of all, a working Armstrong airconditioner.

In the 79 Argosy; when we got her home I discovered the PO left a bottle of black tank deodorizer in a top shelf that fell out and shatter the rear lav sink.

The 69 Globetrotter found a bunch of traveler check receipts that showed where it was throughout the Southwest in 1988 (the last time it was used from what I can gather.)

After we got her home we found;
A love for camping
A few new unopened photo greeting cards from Yosemite
Some packets of salt and pepper
New tea bags
A half bottle of multivitamins
A cute pink hand towel
A SS dish drying rack
A red tool box with extra bulbs and screws, rivets and misc. parts
A friend in the PO whom we still email pics to, who still answers all our questions!
Happy Trails!
