Is this a CRUISER or OVERLANDER or ???

Just picked up a 1955 26' ???. Serial number is 6593 and since it is whale tail inside and outside rear, pretty sure it was made in CA. But it's tandem axle and it's 96" wide outside and about 91" inside so guessing they made a few EIGHT FOOTERs in 1955. Does anyone know how many 8' wide Whale tails were made. Is it a International Cruiser Tandem?? Has rear full bed (I think due to size and location of water tank) and bath with sink, shower, Kitchen sink + oven all on Port side and Fridge, three closets and drawer base on Starboard side. With an L shaped seating area and a missing flip up table. All wood is OAK, not birch, might have been replaced, but has not been touched in 25+ years. Maybe special order??
Here are a few pictures.

Hello ?

In the directory you can see that my Cruiser 1954 was a transitional model for the Overlander. 1955 + 1956 = Cruiser/Overlander 26'
Adress from the directory:

Werner, thanks, is your body just under 7' wide or is it 8' wide. Also do you know if there was a standard configuration for windows, seems like I'm missing a few based on other 54 and 55. I thought all of the 55 Overlanders had rear bath, is that true?? Was Tandem axle an option?? Thanks Terry

Ticbuilder,

I have seen one other 1955 California built26' Overlander which is also wider than 7' and has tandem axles. He is the second owner and the trailer was custom modified for the original owner.

Hi Terry
In my blog archive 2011 (7) - October (6) Kitchen is the plan from the built-in refrigerator. There all inner width are entered mass (measured by yourself).
If I take the greatest mass (2.15 meters) and the outer walls will add is that after conversion 7.31 '

It is so that the Airstrem were made from the factory with specific customer requirements. My window in the bedroom is on edge as the only Cruiser.

The Cruiser is also in the archive: 1954 Crusier 25'/26' #6483 - Vintage Airstream

Therefore my name: cruiser6483, lol

Cheers - Werner
